Perfect midtown location.

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: The staff, the cleanliness, the quality of the expeience, and the great midtown location.
Cons: Complimentary Wi-Fi would make this incredible spot even better.
Location: Everything in midtown. Walk to Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Plaza, Grand Central, the Empire State, etc. All within walking distance.
This is a great find. I think this hotel is only 3 years old, so it may not be on everyone's radar yet. Once it is, I bet this will be a go-to hotel for many NYC frequent visitors. The amenities were incredible. The room and bathroom looked like they came from a professional magazine, and the overall presentation of the hotel, the room, and the lounge were fantastic.

Unexpected delight.

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable spacious rooms which is rare for NYC.
Cons: The only thing missing is a lobby, it doesn't really have one which was a bit strange.
Location: There was a wine store right down the street and a little CVS type pharmacy, very convenient.
I loved this hotel. I loved that the rooms had a little fridge and microwave, I loved that the rooms were very generous for NYC, I loved that it has a concierge level that is for EVERYONE and includes a continental breakfast in the morning. AND, I loved that with my Hyatt Gold membership, wifi was free.

nice location, average room

Posted Jun 4, 2014
Pros: location, staff, the bed is even better than comfortable
Cons: noisy air-condition
Location: lots of
first of all, the location is great, walk distance to many great NYC spots, but it is not a surprise for a hotel at this price, right? the lexington lounge is a truly flashing point of this hotel, the 24 hr available coffee and tea give people nice treatment after one day walking from outside. the air-condition system in rooms is shame, the noise will surely disturb your sleep if you keep the air-con on. it is a air-con unnecessary season during my stay, but image hot summer or cold winter time, the air-con will be a serious problem here. I changed 2 rooms, but the noise is still with me. the room is small and will be so "compact" if you have some large luggage with you. and it will be better if the hotel could give some spaces for customer in the in-room refrigerator. the hotel is good, but I will not recommend to people because at this price you have bunch of better deals.

Everything you need, very well done.

Cons: I wasn't crazy about Lexington Brass, the restaurant. Staff were very nice, so was the food actually. It just felt less luxe than I like.
Location: I went to Noir for dinner and recommend this as a place to eat that's upscale and fun.
I really enjoyed staying at Hyatt 48. The room was very clean; had everything you need; it was all efficient and streamlined and well done. Pretty bathroom, nice furniture, great robe.

Pros: Amazing smell, noticeable a block away. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. I was very thankfull that the hotel lets you borrow umbrellas.
Cons: Should have free Wi-Fi! (at least in the lobby). Include breakfast
Location: Great central manhattan location; subway stations are close by (including Grand Central), several stores and restaurants in Lexington Av.
Small and nice hotel. Great location, friendly staff.

A Boutique Hotel That Hyatt Thinks Is The Plaza

Posted May 11, 2014
Pros: Deal through Expedia & location was not bad.
Cons: Realistic views of what this hotel really is. Lower fees, food costs and get real Hyatt.
Location: Theater, Restaurants. We love NY.
Stayed here for 10 days May 1st Through the 10th. Decent hotel with a decent location. We have stayed at The Plaza, The Waldorf, The Pierre, St. Regis, Marriott, and Intercontinental. This is not any of those. We got a real bargain through Expedia (about half of the rate near our occupancy date) because of booking early (months in advance). Had we not, we would have been extremely disappointed. The fees and room service at this little hotel are absurd for at best a mid range boutique hotel. Even down to a point where I forgot a baseball cap and they charged $28 to ship it to me. I sent a package with a heavy jacket myself from Grand Central and it cost me $5.80. This little boutique is highly overpriced in all aspects and Hyatt needs to come to their senses and realize that it is far from a luxury hotel.

Very nice hotel

Posted May 5, 2014
The hotel is located 10-15 mins walking distance from Times Square, the staff is very friendly, welcomes you every time they see you, they helped me pick restaurants, the wifi is at a charge but it doesnt really matter, because unlike any hotel i've been that offers free wifi, the internet had 9mbps Down, 6.5mbps Up, and 8ma latency. I was impressed, its the fastest and most reliable internet I've ever had in a hotel. Room was impeccable, huge shower, the tv is open when you arrive and welcomes you with your name :) the mini-fridge was filled with Red Bull, Orange Juice, Water, etc, there was at least 10 bottles of wine, vodka and some other booze. There is a lounge at the 2nd floor where you can just sit and relax, Huge windows in the room with a great view. I would recommend this hotel, and when I come back to New York, this place is the place I stay.
