Ore Mountains Vacations
Berlin, the national capital, is located roughly 150 miles (241 kilometers) to the north of Ore Mountains.
When it comes to getting the most from your vacation, it's good to keep in mind that Ore Mountains is merely just the start; Saxony has been blessed with a treasure-trove of wonderful things to do and see. If you've enough time, head 15 miles (24 kilometers) to Annaberg-Buchholz. Here you can visit the Ore Mountain Museum and Adam Ries Museum.
Around 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the southwest of Ore Mountains is Bad Elster, an important regional center and the home of Badeplatz, Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity and The Royal Spa House. Albert Park and Naturtheater are a number of other visitor attractions worth visiting for those who have time to spare.
Should the weather turns nasty; fear not, Saxony features plenty of indoor art galleries and history museums, that will keep culture vultures entertained and dry. If the sun is shining, head outside to experience Saxony's gardens and open-air museums.
