The breakfast was good, but the room wasn't ready until 3:45pm even though check-in starts at 3. The bed was a little too firm for me and there was a gap under the door that let in light and sound from the hallway. The location is pretty convenient and close to a lot of places.

Staff was great. The fill valve in our toilet didn't work properly, and they replaced it after we told them that morning. The hotel was PACKED for spring break, and the staff worked tirelessly to make sure breakfast was refilled - no easy feat. I'm especially glad because I chose Holiday Inn Express because they have excellent breakfast included, with plenty of protein and healthier options. Housekeeping gave us enough fresh towels every day, for the 6 days we stayed; I liked that I didn't have to request more of anything. The other reason I chose this hotel was the free parking. Parking was easy, even though the hotel was full. This hotel is incredibly convenient to Universal, as it says. Just a 9 minute drive without the interstate (although specific time depends on traffic). I'd definitely consider staying here again. My only complaint was that the shower door squeaked like crazy, but that's not the kind of thing I would go to the front desk to complain about.

I liked that the property was near Universal, less than a 5 minute drive. But the restroom in our room was falling apart. The toilet did not flush properly, the towel rod fell after we placed 1 towel on it, the shower filled with water and it took a while for it to drain. Plus the door to the bathroom did not lock.

There were problems with the toilet running causing me to continually wake up.This also occurred in the room adjoining mine which I can hear the person wiggling the handle throughout the night.The carousel on the microwave did not work causing food not to heat evenly. The refrigerator was lacking an ice box to freeze ice packs we use for travel for medical reasons. The refrigerator was missing the rack for the door which is handy for storing bottles.

The ladies at the front desk were friendly but I would not stay at this location again. It was cheaper than some around that area but now I see why. The first room smelled awful but they did switch us to an executive suite but the toilet needed adjusting, then getting ready to check out the light in that room turned off and the smelled burning made us little nervous. They were sending maintenance up. Very surprised cause this hotel showed 4 stars. So we will not stay at this location even if we have to pay more.

We got a room directly next door to elevator and directly across hallway from 24/7 fitness center. Apparently a kids pop warner event was going on and teenagers and kids were galavanting all night. Knocking on doors and running yelling down the hallways. I will NEVER stay there again. Got 1 hour of sleep. I didn’t even shower- miscellaneous hair in shower. Horrible!! Spend $50-$100 more and go somewhere else.

Staff outstanding in all areas, roles, sections, and designations. JUST superb staff in all aspects!!! . Room design excellent with toiletry bottles secured in an efficient and accessible manner. I had a great stay! The night time staff were wonderful as that’s who I saw as I got in late and would continue to get in late from returning from HHN. They were very kind and always asked how my day was! The rooms were clean and I enjoyed being able to grab and go breakfast in the morning (although you can sit if you want!) Would stay again if I didn’t decide to stay on property next trip!
