Nice hotel for the price

Pros: Nice big soft towels and clean soft sheets.
Cons: It could use updating and painting but otherwise was great hotel.
Location: Very close to shopping, food and fishing piers. Close to sight seeing locations , bike path around island with easy access
Hotel is on the beach, rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Nice breakfast included with great view of the ocean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 days during her spring break. Good breakfast buffet. Staff was very pleasant. Rooms were comfortable too. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Holiday weekend

Pros: Very close to beach. Great views. Good place to see most of the Penninsular
Cons: The staff could do with some advice on how to dress clean and tidy.
Location: Great location. Wright Brothers Memorial. Lighthouses and Jennette Pier. Native American museum very good. South Beach Grille great food!
Large room with 2 beds. Great view from our 6th floor window, we could see both bodies of water. Breakfast was adequate. Free with room. Only feet from the beach and a lovely beach. Great position for seeing lighthouses and Wright brothers Memorial. I would stay there again if we go back to Outer Banks.

I reserved a room with a King bed and whirlpool

I reserved a room with a king bed and a whirlpool tub. I wasn't able to find a Pet sitter so I had to bring my dog only after seeing on your website that they were pet friendly. Once I arrived and tried to check in was I informed that they only rooms that were available was regular tub and double beds with no exceptions. Had I known this I would have tried to canceled or make other arrangements for another hotel. No where on the website did I see PET FRIENDLY WITH EXCEPTIONS.. Also wasn't offered any discount from going from a king bed and whirlpool tub to a double bed room . I was told it's still Beach view so the price didn't change. Which doesn't make any sense. Once I made my mind up i decided to try it anyway, I asked about a local restaurant and was giving directions to it which was about 10 miles or so away and once I got there the restaurant was closed for the season . You would figure they would have known this but it was a learning experience.

Overnight business trip

Just an overnight for business and went during the off-season. Staff was helpful and friendly and got a ocean view room upgrade since the place was pretty empty this time of year. The room needed cosmetic repairs, but work was being completed on multiple floors so I am sure they will get to that room.

Just plain BAD!

Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Staff needs customer service training. People with pets need to stay in separate part of hotel. Fix heat/ac units so they aren't so loud.
Location: I was there for business, convenient to business location.
I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and have never had a bad experience prior to this trip. That being said, this stay was a disaster. The hotel allows dogs and unfortunately my room was next to the yappiest dog of all times. This dog literally barked all night long. My room was freezing because I wasn't' able to use the heat. The heat worked but the unit was so loud it sounded like a truck was driving through my room. When I checked out I told the front desk about the issues and I didn't even get an apology. About 15 min after I left I received a phone from the hotel stating that I forgot to sign some paperwork. I informed them I had already left and wasn't turning around to sign paperwork that they forgot to give me. Another 15 min went by and I received another phone call from the hotel asking if I was on my way back yet because they really needed me to sign the paperwork. I again told them I wasn't coming back, and hung up. I am not sure if they hired new people, if the hotel is under new management or what but this was an extremely disappointing stay.

Southern Comfort.

I felt I was treated like royalty from both the staff and other guests durung my stay. My room was upgraded to a beautiful & immaculately clean room where I enjoyed peace and quiet during my business trip. The courtesy of the staff & guests was impressive to say the least. I enjoyed my stay immensely.

Nice hotel on the beach

Pros: Right on the beach. Breakfast was good, and the beds were comfortable.
Staff was great. Check-in was very pleasant. They upgraded our room without us even asking. When we got to the room and turned on the heat, the heater was horribly loud. We called the front desk and a repairman came very quickly to look at the unit. Since the unit needed to be replaced, they gave us a better room with ocean view. The hotel staff was very professional and very helpful. The staff worked very hard to make our stay enjoyable. Beds were comfortable. WiFi worked well. Breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold items.

Sherri @ the front desk was exceptional and Comfort Inn would do well if she could be cloned! We rec'd an upgrade to an ocean view room & saw a wonderful sunrise that made the stay!

Pros: Comfort Inn just makes you feel at home with their wonderful staff.
I was happily surprised that they upgraded our room to oceanfront instead of bay view. This was an amazing view which just made our trip complete. Excellent accommodations with super friendly happy staff! Wonderful breakfast with a gorgeous view of the ocean. I would recommend this hotel to everyone... all my experiences have been great with Comfort Inn. Thank you Comfort Inn for making our vacation amazing!!
