Probably fine for the price in Paris

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Clean, modern bathroom. Water cooler in the lobby. Location.
Cons: Bedding (see above). Screen the courtyard off to keep out the pigeons.
Location: 10 minute walk to Notre Dame. Lively restaurant and night life in the neighborhood.
We had a first floor room facing a small inner courtyard. The room windows had to be open for air and to cool the room. But, pigeons lived in the courtyard and they came to life making lots of noise about 4 AM. A restaurant shares the courtyard and they recycled glass and threw out garbage, making lots of noise between 10 PM and midnight. I think a room facing the street would have been quieter. The courtyard was also the designated smoking area, so the smell of smoke came through our window. They use bedspreads and blankets for the twin beds in our room. I'm pretty sure bedspreads and blankets are not laundered after each guest - so I much prefer the new trend to use white sheet covered duvets. The room was small - which I think is normal for this price range in Paris. The bathroom was new, clean and very nice. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I asked for an electric kettle which they provided. The location is walking distance to many sites and in the middle of the active Marias district. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby. A mini-mart store is just around the corner. I might stay here again, but I would ask for a room that did not face the courtyard.

Great Location

Posted Nov 6, 2014
This is the 5th time we have stayed here. It is a small hotel but friendly and ver very close to all the action in the Marais. It's walking distance to all the attractions in Paris. In 5 days we didn't use the metro or taxis . Wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Siisti hotelli keskeisellä alueella

Posted Jun 15, 2014

Bare minimum at €120 in a central location

Posted Sep 19, 2013
Pros: Despite the hotel's overall shabbiness, the room was very clean. This is likely as central as you can get in Paris for €120.
Cons: The woman at reception was atrociously rude. Extra €10 for wifi is not competitive. The smell of smoke wafting into the room was not nice either.
Location: Very near shopping, restaurants and sights.
Hotels in Paris are insanely expensive. Rooms are tiny and service is often minimal. It is nothing like we have come to expect in north america. My husband and I were looking for something well-located on the right bank that didn't break the bank and this did the trick - barely. The rudeness of the desk attendant upon our arrival was extraordinary, especially as I speak French fluently. If you'd like to do anything other than brush teeth and hit the hay, look elsewhere - there is no space to relax in the room, and no ambiance for a leisurely wake up or wind down routine. An extra €10 for wifi is also a pain. I will not be recommending this hotel, nor would I book it again.

Pros:
Cons: 特になし
Location:

Not great value but excellent location....

Posted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: location, location, location :) and (mostly) warm staff.
Cons: the bathroom - tiny and not so clean
Location: within walking distance of many of the great sites of Paris
great location and (mostly) good staff but for the price (even considering it is so well located) ou don't get much 'bang for your buck'. Nonetheless, the pluses outweigh the minuses (at least as far as what I look for in a hotel, location most of all) and I will stay at this hotel again.

Basic hotel in a great location - Shame

Posted Sep 26, 2011
A basic hotel in a great location, it was a shame. I dont have a problem with quirky small rooms I quite like them, I also dont mind basic furnishing, but this hotel looked like it was just exhausted and not given much love and attention. It wasn't 3 star it was more like a 2 star, it happens to be in a great location in the Le marais. The staff were ok - but not welcoming and not helpful - all they were interested in was whether you were taking breakfast!! Didn't really feel like it as I was sure it was in a dark room in the basement and I would rather be in a cafe round the corner! Its noisy! the rooms all have metal fire doors that bang when being closed. The streets are noisy but thats the area - so you kind of have to live with that. I just found the whole experience a bit dull and not very welcoming. If they put a bit of love and life into the hotel it could be a real gem!

so so....

Area of hotel was cool. it was very noisy in the morning and night. if you were to go out all night long, this hotel is for you but it's a little too pricey for what you get. Condition of hotel is old. Maybe it's time to renovate. I will not go back to stay again, since noise keep me up all night.
