My new vacation spot..Summer & Winter!

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The style of the Hotel/Condo… I also loved RM 105…so sharp! And the indoor/outdoor pool!
Cons: Not a thing, everything was perfect
Location: The location is perfect, right by the Pine River, you can watch the ships come & go from Lake MI to Round Lake.
I used to own a home on Lake Charlevoix and have been searching for a new spot to call home… the Pointes North Inn will be my new destination! The Inn is beautifulled appointed, we stayed in rm 105 which is particularly comfortable and well decoratated. The location in downtown is perfect for all of your needs, they have a marina for boating, parks for walking, biking and strolling and lots of beautiful one-of-a kind shops. The staff at The Pointes Inn were very kind and helpful, the gentlemen at the front desk greeted me with a warm smile and welcome. I made a couple blunders with my reservation and the staff went out of their way to help me, they were kind & courteous.

Pros: Good location. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Wifi service - terrible. Condo needs updating - uncomfortable living room furniture & awkward dining table arrangement. Hot hallways.
Location: Walking, biking, shopping in downtown Charlevoix. Visit Earl Young homes. Some good nearby restaurants.
We often sat on the balcony (street view only) to enjoy the weather or visit and play cards and watch the bridge open and close for water traffic. Most days we took walks in the nearby neighborhoods thoroughly enjoying the beautiful homes of Charlevoix. We also did alot of golfing and/or shopping in other nearby towns (Petoskey and Harbor Springs) and spent a day on Mackinac Island. We used to live in Michigan and always enjoy our visits back there, especially in northern Michigan.

Comfy hotel in the heart of town

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: Very close to everything in town.
Very nice hotel in the heart of a beautiful little town. Within walking distance of many beautiful little shops and several restaurants from small town diners to beautiful dining for 2. Great place to stay! I had minimal interactions with the staff but all were positive. I'm very happy with my choice of where to stay.

Hotel conditions

Posted Apr 26, 2014
Pros: Convenient to downtown, on the river and views of the lake
Cons: Front desk could have been more honest
Location: Great location for walking into town (good shopping and restaurants) or walking out to lighthouse area.
The hotel entrance and hall had a very musty odor and the desk clerk denied that there was any odor even though the doors were open in the lobby and the temperature was in the 50's. Luckily the room did not smell with the same odor. The televisions were not connected to cable so you could not watch TV.

Great for the price!

Very nice accommodations and a lovely location, very quiet. Staff was very friendly. If you're looking for a nice breakfast I would suggest going out somewhere, they didn't have much to offer at their continental breakfast.

Great location, impressive suite.

Pros: Tons of room, great location, helpful staff, clean room, fireplace, in room jacuzzi, well stocked, full kitchen.
Cons: There was a weird creek in the bedroom closet.
We stayed in the off season and got a great deal. The room exceeded expectations. It was a small apartment. The decor was a bit outdated, but who really cares. They were super friendly, and the place was great.

Pros: Very roomy ,clean ,comfortable bed, screened in porch
Cons: General updating, older fixtures, out side building look as it needs painting.
Location: Walkable to town, great park in town, great shopping, good food. Wineries near bye.
Great location , walk to town very short distance, friendly staff , rooms were clean and very comfortable, nice screen in porch in every room to sit out in and relax. Would stay there again and a very good stay for the price .

In need of some crucial upgrades

Posted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: Location
Location: Edgewater Inn was a nice place to go to dinner. We loved how close it was to the beach and shopping.
We really enjoyed staying at Pointes North especially the location. We stayed in room 105 and the sofa bed was terrible! If you are going to have a sofa bed at least make it sleepable. My husband ended up sleeping on the coach instead of the sofa bed with my girls and I sleeping in the king size bed. I would not recommend this unit if you have more than 2 in your party. The track lighting really needs to be upgraded as well. We loved Charlevoix but may look at other options since the 2 bedroom units are a bit pricey.
