Really disappointed

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: The cleanness in the room and the restaurant
Cons: Noise and to update the rooms
Location: The ShinBay Japanese Restaurant. Outstanding!
I expected more for the price for the price I paid. We couldn’t sleep due to noisy engines close to our room. It takes away the promised rest and peace that this hotel offers. Rooms are outdated and dark. The service at the Spa was good, but the pool area is very small and it was always crowded. In general I would not recommend this hotel. One good aspect of the hotel was the restaurant. Food was very good and service was great. I’ll highly recommend it.

Lovely hotel and view

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: The view, Spa and I liked that they had an adult-only pool.
Cons: The service at the pool was a little slow on the weekend. The staff was super nice and polite - I think they just needed more people working.
Location: Walking distance to Camelback Mountain
Had a great 4 night stay. We were simply trying to escape the cold New York weather and we had a nice time. The spa is wonderful - had some great treatments. Food on the premises is also very good - lots of healthful options. The views from the property are of Camelback Mountain. Gorgeous. The hotel is close to a variety of activities and Old Town Scottsdale (10 minute drive).

The views and location trump bad service.

Service was slow and did not represent 4 or 5 star quality.

Nice hotel with accomodating and pleasant staff.

Pros: The wait staff in the dining room.
Cons: Facilities are somehwat dated, doors and furntiure in the rooms are scarred, and appliances need to be checked to determine if functional.
Location: Since located in Scottsdale, many sites and activities available. We are always attrcated to the art galleries.
Overall, quite a pleasant experience. Only disappointments were that there was no turndown service one night, which was assured, the Keurig coffeemaker and the iron in the room did not work, and had to be replaced. The presentation in the dining room for breakfast, and the wait staff, were superb. My wife and I travel all over the world, and prefer to stay at Four Seasons facilities, but both of us commented that the king bed was the most comfortable that we have experienced.

Excellent Weekend Destination

Posted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: Views, atmosphere, staff, food
Cons: Layout is hard to get used to
The Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia is located on the borders of Paradise Valley and Scottsdale at the foot of Camelback Mountain. The views and grounds of the resort are excellent. However, it's an older resort and has had several additions over the years so the layout takes a bit of getting used to. My room was very nice and well-appointed but the stand-out feature of the resort was the Prado restaurant. The restaurant staff were very professional, the menu (locally sourced produce with a Mediterranean twist) and the food was delicious. Recommended!

Handy to downtown shopping yet removed

Posted Mar 17, 2014
Location: Very close to Fashion Square with all the top notch shops and restaurants. FUN!
Unfortunately this was a stop over prior to my early morning flight BUT I had the most pleasant experience and ate on property and has the most delicious meal, sat at the bar where the food was being made at the Prado and was treated like a g/d Princess!Hope to go back and really enjoy what the property has to offer, it is a must! The staff could not have been kinder or more more helpful.

Great views and relaxation

Posted Mar 5, 2014
The fountains, flowers, and pools were gorgeous. Room was spacious, especially the huge bathroom. We loved having our own patio space to relax and share a takeout breakfast from Crave Cafe. Our trip was short and packed with activities. We would love to return and spend even more time at the resort.

Last minute reservation

Posted Feb 26, 2014
Location: Loved the nearness to the Echo Canyon trail - what a great hike! Wish we had more time to do more things.
We had to find a place at the last minute, and this resort looked great online. Once we got there we were so impressed. Everyone was very helpful and friendly, the place is clean and well-kept. Our biggest issue was that the portions at the restaurants are large; we often wished we would have shared.

Best kept secret!

Posted Feb 12, 2014
Cons: Restaurant menu is good not great. Restaurant staff is superb.
Our second stay here - it's the best kept secret in Phoenix/Scottsdale area! Walk around the corner to hike the stunning Camelback Mountain. Few minutes to Fashion Sq Mall. Friendliest staff.
