“Very relaxing”
At the time of our visit the hotel was probably only 30% full, so there were not too many people around. The gardens and beachside location are just great for relaxing , reading a book, with lots of shade if desired. The buffet was excellent as was dinner in La Trattoria restaurant. Lots of other dining options in the surrounding area, including right on the sand. A bargain at the price paid, albeit off season and weather not great, but a very relaxing place to unwind for a few days.
“Best place to stay on the island”
After reading all the positive reviews all over the web about Dusit, we decided to book it. That, and the fact the Expedia rate was so good. The Dusit was the definition of full-service. We booked their shuttle from the airport (because there are a lot of taxi scams there) and it was the nicest shuttle ever, with leather seats and curtains on the windows. We also found out that you can book the hotel shuttle to Phuket City or Patong Beach for the same price as a cab (IF they don't scam you), so you can ride in style and safety. Whatever you need, just ask one of the many front desk people and they will help you. There's even a free shuttle and free boat around the Laguna area. The included buffet breakfast was fantastic with fresh tropical fruit (safe to eat) and international dishes. The room itself was clean and nicely appointed, very comfortable. Staff was super friendly and helpful!
“Loved it”
We went for a short visit, wished it could have been longer. The resort was beautiful. There were a a lot of activities for the kids (ages 16 and 10). Getting to spend time with the baby elephants was priceless. The beach was clean and uncluttered. The pool was a bit small and it wasn't enough fun for our younger child. The rooms were lovely and well supplied. The beds were comfortable. The showers were difficult to regulate between ice cold and scalding. There wasn't many good TV channels but the movies were reasonably priced. Our balcony overlooked the ocean and it was worth asking for the view. Watching the sunset while enjoying appetizers and cocktails on the pool veranda bar was wonderful. The hotel restaurants were good. Nice proximity and easy access to the other resorts. The staff was helpful and very friendly. It was a very nice vacation and we would go back to the Dusit Thani.
“WOW, This was amazing. And we can't wait to go back.”
OMG, this was without a doubt the best vacation ever. The hotel staff was great, friendly, and were eager to make sure all our needs were met. Our hotel room over looked the beach. The view was great. We booked a couple of excursions, the FantaSea, Whitewater rafting, and Elephant Trekking was great and the four Island tour (but the seas were rough and the trip was canceled)next time we will try again. The FantaSea in Phuket is a must see and is spectacular(remember to look up during the show). The food is great, try the small places on the beach. This was our first experience in Thailand, but will not be our last. The Thai people are without a doubt some of the friendliest people in the world.
“perfect for a little getaway”
having not been to thailand before, and as my sister and i were only there for a few days - i had chosen this hotel as random choice and it was not a bad choice at all! we just wanted a few days to relax and unwind; Dusit Thani was definitely a place to do just that. The hotel and surroundings are beautiful and with one of the nicest beaches i've been to literally a stone's throw away from our room. Only the rainstorms dampened our moods slightly but thank goodness they didn't last during our whole stay!
“Dusit Laguna Beach Resort is nice and quiet.”
The Dusit Laguna is a great choice for your vacation, especially if you are looking for a quiet place close to the beach to relax at. The beach is clean and you can get a good massages in direct proximity to the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful, room service was fast. Hotel has good restaurants especially the La Trattoria Italian Restaurant and the Ruen Thai, Thai Restaurant. They do have internet access in the lobby, but was unable to get a good connection to the room when I stayed there. I Would stay there again and recommend trying this hotel.
“Great Place for a Family”
We loved the stay at Dusit Thani Laguna. The staff was outstanding, the facilities very well maintained and the price was affordable for a family of three. We will definately be going back.
“good but”
its a good hotel :) yet it needs alot of improvements, its a bit old but i would stay there again :) a bit overpriced for what we got. thanks
