Mexico City, the national capital, is situated roughly 85 miles (137 kilometers) southwest of Piedras Encimadas Valley.
Piedras Encimadas Valley is not the only place in this popular region worth experiencing; those with enough time can also rent a vehicle and set off to explore the unique qualities of the nearby countryside, cities and cultural attractions. Zacapoaxtla, 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the west, and Jonotla, 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the west of Piedras Encimadas Valley are also worth visiting should you have the time.

Approximately 55 miles (89 kilometers) to the west, this regional city is where you can find Mineral del Chico National Park, David Ben Gurion Park and Hidalgo Theater.
