The property is incredible and the staff is amazing. My only issue was with the homeless population in the neighborhood. I had to be very careful and avoid some fights while I was walking. To be fair, it was the off season, maybe peak season would be different.

I enjoyed the nordiac spa very different but enjoyable, peaceful, quite, and very delightful. The hotel was very nice quite and good positive vide through the entire stay.

Portage area can be a great place to go including the visitor center. New Year's Eve day, the roads were not well maintained, parking lot was not plowed and the weather was bad - wind and sleet. The photo I am adding is from a great day this past April.
