Downtown Montreal, Old Montreal and Plateau Mont Royal, are nearby areas which are also worth discovering.
Be sure to visit some of the nearby museums and galleries, which help make this region the special place it is. There are plenty of excellent places to take the family for a couple of hours such as Biosphere, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and McCord Museum. Go and see a lively show at the Place des Arts, Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier and the Centaur Theatre. The area is a treasure trove for art lovers. Don’t miss the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Walter Klinkhoff Gallery and the St. Dizier Gallery.
If you love nature and wildlife, plan a trip to the nearby parks and reserves. These are great places to relax and unwind. To spend some time in a green oasis explore Lafontaine Park, Jeanne-Mance Park and Sun-Yat-Sen Park.
If you are spending a while in and around Quartier des Spectacles, stop by Habitat 67, the Champ de Mars and Victoria Square. To learn about the role of faith in Montreal, spend a little time at the area’s most important religious sites, such as the Christ Church Cathedral, the Notre Dame Basilica and the St. James United Church.
Treat yourself to a new outfit, grab a bite to eat or just window shop at nearby shopping hotspots such as Eaton Centre, Complexe Desjardins and the Les Cours Mont-Royal.
Spend a few hours high in the stands of Percival Molson Memorial Stadium, cheering on the much-loved Montreal Alouettes. Be sure to wear red, blue, silver and white, the colors of the Montreal Alouettes.
