Radoy is situated 200 miles (322 kilometers) west of the national capital Oslo, and approximately 30 miles (48 kilometers) northwest of Bergen - Hordaland.
It's a missed chance if you limit yourself to the attractions of Radoy because the whole region has been endowed with a treasure-trove of great cities, attractions and landscapes. Fotlandsvag, is 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the west, and Eidsvag can be found 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the northwest.
While you are here in Radoy, visit Bergen. Approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the southeast, this regional transport and shopping hub is home to Rosenkrantz Tower, Fantoft Stave Church and Galleriet Shopping Centre. Mt. Floyen, Bergen Maritime Museum and Bryggen Waterfront are other attractions worth visiting for those who have more time on their hands.
If you're keen on soaking up some of the local culture, go straight to Fjord Norway's art galleries, art museums and history museums. To really understand the present, you need to return to the past. Fjord Norway's rich traditional villages are a great starting point.
If you like to go slow when you are on holiday, Fjord Norway has some great relaxing activities that will suit you perfectly, such as bird watching and picnicking. If you're not one to take holidays simply to shuffle between the buffet and the bar, the Radoy area offers plenty of high-energy activities such as mountain biking and horse riding.
