Ok Hotel.... At best

Pros: The muffins in the lounge.
Cons: The quality of the rooms and smell.
I asked for a non smoking room. As I walked into the room there was an ashtray on the counter and the sheets smelled like cigarette smoke. When I left the next day all my belongings smelled like smoke.

Business Friendly

Pros: Staff, convenience of a full kitchen, cost.
Cons: A workout room or fitness center would be a big improvement, even if it was barebones. The kitchen should be stocked with adequate cookware.
Location: I was working so did not explore the area, but it was convenient to the highway and major amenities (grocer, restaurants, stores...)
I stayed for a week while teaching class nearby. The convenience of having my own kitchen was economical and enjoyable. The room was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly and everyone frequently asked if I was enjoying my stay or needed anything. The kitchen could have been a little better stocked (only one saucepan for cooking and limited silverware...) but it was very functional. I am have stayed at ESA in other locations and I must say this one was cleaner and quieter than others. Good location, safe and well-lit parking lots and the free continental breakfast and coffee was a nice and unexpected touch.

Hotel Staff sleep on duty

Cons: Tear it down and hire new management.
Room wasn't cleaned or cleared to give to customer. Cover to heating system was off and in the middle of the floor. Cover to the toilet was off and sitting on the vanity and sink with dirty work rags, clearly left from maintenance. Holes in the walls. Walls unpainted. Missing iron and when I called the front desk 10 times with no answer. I walked to front desk to find the attendee sleep next to the phone. My best friend's room had a paint cart left in it. 3 adult free breakfast and 1 child was muffins and coffee. No juice or milk for children. The fruit was old and rotten. Although the general manager apologize for his absence and staff and offered 2 free nights. You could not pay to come to Extended Stay Red Bank and will second guess going to any Extended Stay as a last resort.

Sharon was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with we stood there because we went to a New Year's Eve party and Sharon told us if we couldn't drive to call the hotel and they would send a cab!! The staff was very courteous and our room was very comfortable!! Thank you for making our stay so great!!

Mediocre at best

I've stayed at an Extended Stay a few times in different locations, but this one just seemed to be a little less than what I expected. It smelled weird in the hallways; a piece of the roof had fallen off at the end of the hallway and was just kept in a bucket that looked like a litter box; the exit out the side of the building was filthy (filled with trash) as if no one who worked there ever checked. For the price, I guess it was the least expensive of the options in the area, but for $100 a night, I guess I just expected a cleaner and more comfortable experience.

Felt like home.

Pros: Staff felt like hosts - talked to us like friends.
Cons: Check outlets, fixtures in each room.
Location: Cute town nearby with a wonderful organic restaurant, but other than that we were at meetings to we didn't explore much.
The staff was notably friendly, and we felt at home. Actual facilities could use a little attention, like one outlet not working and we couldn't make the heater do what we wanted, but when we made requests they were answered cheerfully and quickly. No nightly maid service, which suited us fine as we could leave things out and they stayed where we left them:) Loved having an actual kitchen.

Pros: good location
Location: Sandy Hook and Twin Lights lighthouses are close
Great location just off the Garden State Parkway. Had good Italian dinner delivered hot and quick from Luigi's.

would not return - maid service only once a week, have to ask for additional towels from front desk - intermittent signals for cell phones, but biggest turn off was the strong smell of gas coming from the laundry room on the first floor. The bed was small but comfortable. Paid much too much for no services.

Convenient place to stay but don't expect too much

Pros: The size of the room, the fridge, microwave, and stove. The people were really nice, too.
Cons: 1. Room should be ready by check in time 2. Room needs to be deodorized, and not smell of alcohol 3. Breakfast needs to be better: more choices
Location: Lots of shopping and places to eat on Monmouth St......also we went to the JBJ Soul Kitchen for dinner and it was AMAZING!!!! Must go if you can!
We did a weekend trip to Red Bank, and had stayed at the Extended Stay. We arrived in Red Bank early and decided since check in wasn't until 3, we'd walk around the place first. It was almost 3 when we drove over to the hotel. When I went to check in to our room, the front end person told us that our room wasn't going to be ready until almost 4. We had to wait in the lobby until the room was cleaned and ready for us. Not a good first impression, obviously. When the room was finally done, we brought our things into the room and could smell what seemed to be beer inside. Room was a good size and we loved that it had a sink with a water filter, a fridge, microwave, and a stove in case we needed to use them. Overall, it was an OK experience.
