Great location and friendly staffPosted Oct 16, 2013
We stayed for 3 nights. The location was easy to walk to all the big sights but felt like a neighborhood. Mauro was super helpful with restaurant advice and travel tips. The only small issue was that the hallway outside the room was noisy in the am while breakfast was being prepared and served. I would stay here again.

The perfect place to be for a quick trip to Rome (near everything, walk 90% or close metro). The staff are great too. Clean room. Free wifi and breakfast in bed. I'd go back and recommend to anyone. Few small quirks, such as reception not open all night but really not of concern for us. Highly recommended!

Great value good locationPosted Aug 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great place to explore Rome from most attractions including the Vatican are in walking distance. Friendly staff with good advice for sightseeing and eating out. The room was great for the price please do not be put off by the exterior. The only down side is three flights of stairs to reach the room if you are fit this is well worth the climb

A great hotel to explore Rome from.Posted Aug 10, 2013
Pros: Location, cleanliness, helpful and friendly staff, good restaurants nearby.
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Wonderful! Closer to sites than you realise.
After being concerned about this hotel before we arrived, the gamble definitely paid off. This hotel is a great location, and you can walk anywhere in Rome from it. We arrived by train, and it couldn't have been easier. We did have to drag our cases, and our tired selves, up three flights of stairs, but we knew beforehand so didn't mind. The room is small and comfortable and is miles better than the 4* we have moved on to! This is a well run routine, and your choice of breakfast is delivered to your door at your requested time each morning. Take the tourist advice given when you get there, it's second to none! Although he's right, the best thing to do in Rome is get absolutely lost!

Spot on for the centre of townPosted Jul 29, 2013
The Hotel de Monti is very well located with an easy walk down to the forum. The staff were friendly and helpful and made sure they helped when/where they could. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Hotel di MontI in Rome, a quirky, boutique hotel.Posted Jun 16, 2013
Pros: Good location, especially to railway station. Very reasonable price.
Cons: Having to carry bags up 3 flights of stairs
Location: 15 mins walk from Rome Terminii , 10 mins from the Coloseum and about 15 mins from Trevi fountain.
Good location, close to Roma Terminii, the Coloseum, Trevi fountain and other tourist attractions. Not a standard hotel and is on the third floor of an old building without a lift, so bit of a mission getting bags up, but staff helpful if you need a hand. Rooms a reasonable size for an old city hotel.

Historic building, great servicePosted Jun 16, 2013
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Stairs, but I knew what to expect.
Location: Location was walking distance to most of the "tourist" spots except the Vatican and ten minutes walk to the rail, metro and bus terminals.
This is not a luxury hotel. No room service (except breakfast), no spa, no gym and no English language TV. Not even a lift (elevator), but you know all that before you make the booking. I was going to Rome to get a glimpse of history and I chose this hotel because of its age and location. I was more than happy with the cleanliness, facilities and especially the staff. Breakfast was included and served my room. My room was a good size and, whilst I did have to get used to the traffic noise, it was very comfortable. Mauro, Alessandro, and Andrada were wonderful to deal with, which can't be said for every hotel I've stayed in.
