Awesome continental breakfast

Posted Sep 2, 2014
La Quinta was very accomedating to our late arrival. The room was very spacious and clean. There was adequate street parking when we arrived and we didnt have any trouble finding our way there. The best thing about this hotel is of course the price but also the continental breakfast with fresh fruit and DIY waffle makers. I highly recommend staying here.

not more than what you need if you have a car

Location: far from any point of interest by walk
the cost advantage was not there for me. Far from any attraction walking

Nice Hotel

The front desk staffs are really nice and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. The only thing is not good about this hotel is the parking space is really tiny.

Great place to stay

This hotel is modern, friendly and well located, close to San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was pretty good.

ok hotel next to beach

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Cons: pillows,
was very disappointed with the parking situation, the pillows need replacing unless you like them lumpy, looked like the shower was not cleaned in fact I took a towel and wiped it down myself, and the elevator was not working and it might have been helpful if someone would have spoke English when I asked a question instead of them having to find someone for me

Small

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Everything was small. Our room, the pool, even the parking. I had to park out on the street. Rooms were clean and the stay was not too bad.

Sea world stay

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros- Was a great place to stay after a day at sea world. Nice, comfortable and clean. Great free breakfast! 5 min from the beach and all the restaurants there! Cons- very difficult parking in their parking garages. If you have a big vehicle or arrive late expect to park on the street. Front desk staff was hit or miss for being helpful or rude. On check-in attendant was amazing, later on return from dinner to ask where to park different front desk attendant was very rude. Overall I would stay there again.

Reasonable location to San Diego and Sea World

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Breakfast was quite good.
Cons: Better service. Rooms set-up for number of people booked.
Location: Sea World USS Midway
Booked for 5 people but room was not set up for 5, really 3. Asked to have room able to sleep 5, but this seemed problematic. Eventually it was decided to have a roll-out delivered to the room making the room very squashy. Had only two towels on arrival so needed to have more sent to the room. Every day we had to ask for more towels as on two or three would be left by housekeeping, quite annoyning.

Excellent location!

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: We liked the location of this hotel most. Our room came with a fridge & microwave. The fridge came in handy.
Cons: Cleaning of the floor could be improved. It was pretty dirty. We also found a large spider in the bath tub!
Location: During our stay we visited Sea World (super close), SD Zoo, Balboa Park (short drive away) & Petco Park. Coronado Island is beautiful!
Hotel is in a great location. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Plenty of restaurants nearby and beach is a short drive away. Staff gave us a list of recommended restaurants and that was great. We visited a handful of the places recommended and we were very pleased. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the free breakfast. We have two young kids (2 & 4 yr old) and feeding them early was a must. We had brkfst there 2 of the 4 mornings there. It was fresh and delicious. I was surprised with the variety of choices. The eating area is small so go early to beat the rush as it does get busy. Staff was great about refilling all the food. The other days we tried the other recommended places for KONO's Cafe (really good, cash only).
