An absolutely beautiful place to stay. Completely modern rooms with great ambiance. Pool area is great. The only downside is no staff on site. Need to arrange for staff to be there when you arrive to let you in and explain how it all works. This is problematic, otherwise a wonderful spot.

An excellent hotel
An excellent hotel Excellent staff that provides the best service. The hotel manager Maria is available and attentive to any problem at any hour. I will personally recommend this hotel. We went on vacation in Sicily and thanks to the hotel our vacation was amazing. Thank you very much for that

Away from the maddening crowd
Beautiful classy family run property Nice location in hills above Catania Friendly & helpful Very nice continental breakfast with home made pastries and cakes Recommended a nice restaurant in San Gregorio for a memorable dinner. They are building a swimming pool in their magnificent gardens. Off season price was a bargain. Highly recommended.

Loved our stay and would stay again
Our stay was short but we loved it. The ambience, the terrace, the garden - I loved everything. Free parking on the premises gave us peace of mind. I found the breakfast very good. I would stay there again.

Have to Stay here!
Bluff: I am an extensive world traveler who visits over 9 countries a year. If you are tired of the commercial hotels, hustle and bustle of big cities and want to go somewhere in Sicily where the owner personally ensures you are enjoying your stay and meticulously keeps his property? Look no further. This is by far the best of its kind. The grounds are impecable, the décor is incredible and the history of the hotel is amazing.

Bad Service in a poor located B&B
We were excited to stay in this B&B but unfortunately the experience was bad. We arrived and a friendly man greeted us but he did not speak spanish and had a very poor english so we couldnt get much out of him. He mentioned the owner Marilu will be helping us later that day. The property is aprox, 20 min drive to town. Travelling with a toddler that is not very practical nor for easy access to restaurants or anything. The pkace is beautiful but needs better cleaning and updates on room bed and bedding. They managed to help us with a bottle warmer but nobody was really availabe when we needed so we deicided to leave and stay in Taormina. And even when leaving we couldnt find anybody so we had to leave the keys to the owner’s relative thta was passing by. Unfortunately when we left our feedback to Marilu she took it badly and did not offered an apology just replied angrily justifying the bad service. I do not call that proper customer service from someone who make a living by receiving guest.....

The guest house was charming and we couldn't of chosen a better place to stay.

What a shame - more shabby than chic
We really enjoyed this area of Sicily but were slightly disappointed with the B&B, Casa La Carrubazza. In summary; our bedroom needed redecorating, as there was excessive peeling paint on the bathroom walls and a filthy carpet at the bottom of the bed. There were a few odd hangers and sadly a poor mattress. I could not quite see why it was rated 4 stars. We would not return. I think you will find better. The property is beautiful but poorly executed service marred the experience.

An excellent choice
From the moment we arrived we were greeted with the utmost courtesy. The staff was helpful in all respects. The room was lovely. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was modern, large and clean. The grounds are exceptional. The views exquisite. The breakfast had variety and was plentiful. Shouldf I decide to return to Sicily, I wouldn't hesitate in returning to this hotel again.

Hébergement de caractère, décoration ton sur ton avec la villa de maître. Un beau jardin, portail automatique pour rentrer son automobile.Le couchage est confortablement très ferme. Le petit déjeuner est varié et et génereux.

Das Hotel hat eine sehr ruhige, aber doch zentrale Lage als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Ohne Auto aber nicht zu empfehlen, da in der näheren Umgebung keine Geschäfte oder Lokale sind. Das Personal und der Besitzer des Hotels waren ausserordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und gut.

Wunderschöne Villa- sehr zu empfehlen
Tolles Hotel in stilvoll renovierter Villa inmitten eines wunderschönen Gartens. Sehr schöne, geräumige Zimmer mit eigenen Terrassen. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt!

Incantevole casa sulle colline di Catania
Un posto incantevole che non ti aspetti prima di varcare il cancello di ingresso. Immersa nella rigogliosa vegetazione siciliana, tra antiche mura in pietra lavica sorge questa bellissima casa dell'800 meravigliosamente ristrutturata con ambienti comuni e camere accoglienti. La posizione è invidiabile: in collina, con vista panoramica dalle terrazze sul mare e la città, a poca distanza dai caselli autostradali. Il tutto ingentilito dall'affabile cordialità del proprietario, capace di rendere il soggiorno ancora più confortevole ed a dimensione familiare.

grundsätzlich: ein Aufenthalt auf Sizilien ist unbedingt zu empfehlen; die Sizilianer sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit; das Hotel liegt in einem sehr alten Komplex, der aufwändig rekonstruiert worden ist, mit herrlichem Blick auf Catania und die Küste; es hat eine ruhige Lage, außerhalb vom Stadtzentrum; das Frühstück ist umfangreich und vielseitig; die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend; Catania und auch den Ätna kann man schnell erreichen

Aanrader voor couples die van rust/natuur houden.
Zeker een aanrader als je van rust en natuur houdt. Geweldige hosts die je met alle liefde verwelkomen. Hotel is avonds moeilijk te vinden en we zijn 3x langs de poort gereden omdat er geen verlichting was. Kamers zijn prima, maar zouden beter onderhouden moeten worden (denk aan verf, afstoffen etc)Ontbijt is geweldig en je hebt gratis wifi en een parkeerplaats.Het mooiste vonden we dat we smorgens wakker werden door de vogels. Minpunt is de hond van de buren die de hele dag/nacht blaft. Stuur een whatsapp naar het mobiele nummer op hun visitekaartje en de eigenaar belt meteen de buren om de hond binnen te zetten. Top service. Top locatie. Wij komen hier zeker terug!

Ohne Navi ist das Hotel nicht zu finden. Vor dem Haupttor ist eine kleine Klingel mit dem Namen wie bei einem Privathaus. Es handelt sich mehr um ein sehr großes Anwesen mit Zimmern, geeignet für große Feiern. Wir bewohnten eine Art Suite mit Schlafraum, großem und modernem Bad sowie einem weiteren Raum, der sich zu einer riesigen Terrasse öffnet. Der Signore und die Signora begrüßen täglich und kümmern sich rührend, als wäre man ein privater familiärer Gast. Das Frühstückbuffet ist mehr als ausreichend, die Terrasse zum Park herrlich. Von einer weiteren Terrasse hat man Blick auf Catania und die Küste. Das nächstgelegene Restaurant ist leider ca. 20 Autominuten entfernt, TV ausschließlich mit italienischen Sendern.

Bij aankomst in het donker wat moeizaam te vinden. Maar eenmaal door de grote ijzer toegangspoort een warm onthaal. Personeel heeft een aantal malen een restaurant gereserveerd en een gids geregeld voor tocht naar de Etna. Ziet er zeer mooi uit. Wel jammer dat er je alleen kan ontbijten, het is niet mogelijk bijv. nog een drankje te doen. Wel koelkastje op kamer, met water ( wat we niet hebben hoeven afrekeningen) Prachtige tuin, mooi uitzicht en zeer hartelijke eigenaren.
