Overall our family had a pleasant stay at the Buckeye Beach House. We had 7 adults and one 14 month old.
There are a few cons, and/or some details missing that would have enhanced our stay: The garbage disposal got clogged - however, the owner had someone out the very next day to have it fixed. The foyer room has barn doors that separate it from the living room, however they do not fully close so there is some lack of privacy. The family member who had this room didn’t find the futon comfortable so he switched to an air mattress (which we brought). We had to buy our own toilet paper and paper towels. There was no dishrag for the kitchen to hand-wash dishes. The toilet in the bathroom across from the living space clogged easily, but the house has a plunger we used to clear it. We thought the neighborhood was just ok.
Pros: very nicely decorated throughout. Everything felt fairly new. We loved the screened in pool and back patio area - it is private, and decorated with string lights and lots of seating, including couches, lounges and chairs.
We used the coffee bar every morning. Complimentary K-cups of coffee and tea bags are provided. There are monogrammed comfy bathrobes and towels in all the rooms and bathrooms. The house is great for a family with kids. Plenty of extra beach towels, chairs, and toys! There is a high chair, pack-and-play, and stroller - the former two worked great with our toddler, but we didn’t end up trying the stroller since we brought our own. All communication with the owner was great. Our family felt very comfortable and relaxed here!
