Great location.
Was a great place for our trip away to Victoria, was only a shortish drive to Ballarat, was in a great location to relax with each other and look at horses and watch some amazing sunsets. Would definitely come back for another stay.

Great property and location but you risk being charged for damages
We booked our stay at this property in December. The host was initially amiable and the location was convenient, contributing to the overall appeal of the place. The presentation of the property was generally pleasing. However, we encountered a few issues upon arrival. Notably, the cleaning appeared incomplete, as evidenced by numerous raisins scattered around the sofa. Additionally, we faced a problem with a blocked sink drain. Although the host provided a plunger, it required personal intervention to resolve, revealing a substantial accumulation of mud and leaves - a probable oversight from previous guests. Despite these initial setbacks, our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. Post-departure, however, we experienced an unexpected and shocking problem. Several days after our return, the host accused us of damaging the door lock - a claim initiated by subsequent guests and not observed during cleaning. We are confident that the lock was fully functional when we left, suggesting that the damage occurred after our departure. Despite this, the host dismissed our explanations, opting for a direct accusation and immediate compensation. The communication turned unpleasant, with the host adopting a condescending tone, insinuating that either ourselves or our children were responsible for the damage. In conclusion, while the property itself offers a fairly pleasant stay, potential guests should be aware of the risk of being unjustly held accountable for damages.

There was a blocked drain which we unlocked straight away. That can happen anywhere. Luke gave a bad review because he was charged for damages that were found on his departure. Damages were not reported to me. I believe that the children broke the latch on the door. They were some of the most boisterous children that I have encountered since I opened my BNB's 3 years ago. They constantly ran around the back yard, screaming at the top of there voices. I have no doubt that they broke the door latch & the parents weren't aware. Luke continually contacted me after damages were charged saying the same things over and over again. I got sick of repeating myself so eventually I stopped responding to him. This is only the second time in 3 years, that I have reported damage & claimed. People that don't damage the property, don't get charged for damages. Again, Luke wrote that because he was angry for being charged for damage his children did.

Great country getaway
Thank you for hosting us at your beautiful country property. There were wonderful views out every window, and even though the weather was pretty terrible, we enjoyed our writer's retreat in this idyllic location. The property was clean and well-appointed, everything we needed. Thank you also for the access to streaming services on the TV! We were especially grateful for the recommendation of the local cafe - we thoroughly enjoyed our stop there and went back on the final day to buy more locally sourced goods! A lovely property, very much as described.

Fantastic
Awesome accommodation for us. Nice an clean, had everything we needed for our stay. Cereals, bread milk etc - much appreciated. Great location small town just down the road, and safeway 10-15 mins away. Loved our stay thanks soo much.

Beautiful family friendly property
Clean, comfortable, well appointed accommodation on a large rural property. The kids had a great time exploring the garden, climbing the large trees, and playing frisbee. Thanks to Jess for giving the kids their riding lesson on your beautiful horse Jack. Many thanks to Jenny for letting us stay on your lovely property. A definite highlight was the cute and friendly puppers Billy and Tootsie. Highly recommend!

Be nice if you took into consideration that it has been raining for months. Would have also been nice if you had put the lounge suit back where it was when you moved in. Would have also been nice if you had thanked me for offering you a late check out at no extra charge. Please don't come back. I would rather give my hospitality to people that appreciate it.

Set in a pristine rural area away from the crowds and traffic, the place gives you peace and a taste of the open spaces with the wildlife around you. The most friendly and wonderful Jenny is always aplus! Will be visiting again. Highly recommended.

A lovely country property that has a wonderful outlook over fenced paddocks. The house itself was clean and well appointed. Jenny was an excellent host. The local village had a small IGA and the pub served excellent food.

Idyllic location

A comfortable country stay
We stayed with three young adolescent grandchildren and found the accommodation comfortable and appropriate. We especially liked the rural setting, comfy couches, plenty of room to kick the footy, walks along the nearby rail trail, access to Ballarat and the Black Hill mountain bike courses, and thought the property was good value for money. Host Jenny was friendly and readily available to assist when we needed her. We had hoped to organise horse riding lessons but these were not available due to school holidays. Horses and kangaroos added to the country atmosphere however.

Wonderful Scarsdale retreat
We had a great stay at this wonderful property. From meeting Jenny and the easy check-in, to the beautiful accommodation. This property was lovely and clean and had everything that we needed. Jenny was absolutely fantastic and even offered flowers from her garden to our family member in hospital. The location is down a gravel road with abundant wildlife. We enjoyed seeing the kangaroos and black cockatoos. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the Scarsdale area. We will definitely be back.

A++ Fantasic destination for a weekend away
The accommodation is modern, stylish and very comfortable. The natural surroundings are wonderful, with lot's of kangaroos and lot's of space around the property to enjoy the view, especially sunrise and sunset. Jenny is a lovely person and wonderful host, highly recommend a weekend with the family here... we'll definitely be back!

We were very pleased with our 2 bedroom accomodation - had everything we needed for a family getaway. The contemporary styling, well appointed kitchen, spacious bathroom, fresh linen and cleanliness - added to our very comfortable stay. Wifi and streaming services kept everyone entertained.
