The front desk staff was incredibly helpful, kind and generous. Due to the construction happening at the building where our room was, she kindly moved us to a nicer room at the other building at no extra cost so we would be further away from the noise. It was very spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed! The hotel is super close to the beach, quiet and safe. Plus they have complimentary snacks, games and movies at the reception.

The place was a diamond in the rough! It's an older place, but the owners are amazing, the rooms are great, they really look after every little thing they could do to make our stay comfortable. Please go check it out! Tell Ruth that we sent you 🙂! ☺️

My husband and I are frequent goers to Seaside. So much so we are considering moving after so many years staying almost exclusively at Hillcrest. They treat you like family and always make you feel welcome. I suggest Hillcrest any time I know someone is heading that way.

Cottage was cozy and spacious for our group! Some of the furniture in the cottage was damaged though and did not function (kitchen drawers, bedroom lamp). Enjoyed our stay overall!

Hillcrest Inn is located in a central location that makes walking everywhere very convenient, the beach and restaurants are 1-2 blocks. The owner is on site and welcomes everyone with a smile😊highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is older but they make up for it in character and the extras. We loved the fireplace and free movies. We had a kitchen in our suite so we were able to make breakfast and supper but there are many restaurants nearby. The staff (Ruth) was amazing. So friendly. Very close to the beach and downtown Seaside.

I was impressed with the room we stayed in. My daughter had an event at the convention center which was a block away. It was perfect. Will definitely recommend and stay again.

It felt like a family home not some impersonal big hotel. And so many nice little touches from salt water toffee in the room to all kinds of tasty munchies and popcorn in the lobby.

Friendly, welcoming staff, beautiful array of free snacks and coffee in the office. Clean, quiet, spacious room with a kitchenette, actual bedroom, and peekaboo ocean view! We cant say enough great things about Hillcrest Inn! What an unexpected blessing! The worst part was having to checkout. None of us want to leave! We will choose this motel every time we visit Seaside! Thank you!

This was my second stay at Hillcrest Inn. It is one block from the beach, aquarium and only 2 blocks from Broadway with all the shops. It may not be as fancy as other more expensive places, but it's clean, dog friendly, close to everything, staff is great. I will definately stay there again in the future.

We travel with our dog and this is a great place to stay. The pet friendly rooms are clean and smell fresh. The lady at the front desk is friendly. Lots of amenities, close to the beach and to a lot of shops/restaurants. This is the second time we've stayed here and have been happy both times.

Close to The Prom and restaurants. Staff gave us a recommendation for a restaurant that gave a discount to Hillcrest guests with good food and reasonable prices. The area outside the office was cluttered with beach toys and cleaning items thus not giving a good first impression. Staff was friendly and we considered this a good one night stay.

It's one of the older motels, but it's close to everything in Seaside. Staff couldn't be friendlier, 1 block from the beach and 3 from the center of town.

The room was very clean. The lady in the office was very friendly. The office and patio was very cluttered and unkept. The parking was not convenient. We were approached by a gentleman while unloading our car for handouts. They have a strict quiet time, but was unenforced, with people sitting in the outside area talking and laughing until after 11 pm.

The desk clerk was excellent. The room seemed clean. The condition of the room was run down and needed maintenance badly! For example, the curtain rod was broken and needed replacement; the towel bar in the bath wasn’t installed correctly and the tissue box container was rusty. It made us feel like the room was less than clean or that the owner just didn’t care about the condition of the room we slept in.

What made our stay so special was the friendliness and care the staff took to insure our stay was memorable. It is the little details that sets Hillcrest apart. The DVDs, snacks, dog treats and great coffee made our stay more fun.

We wanted to love this place because it’s a block from the beach, it’s dog friendly, and fairly affordable. Unfortunately we had two staff occurrences that just rubbed us the wrong way so I’m not sure Id stay again. First thing to mention— when we checked in our friend (who was not staying there) was with us and had mentioned “you would think you had rooms above you with the amount of foot noise”. This was at like 3:00pm in the middle of the day and we were on the second floor (no floors above). My boyfriend, our 20 pound dog and I went to the beach from 8:00-9:10pm to watch the sunset. We got back in time when it was still light out so we didn’t have to walk back in the dark. We took turns using the restroom, washing the sand from our feet and legs, brushing our teeth and dressing down as soon as we got home. By 9:30 we were in bed and had a movie turned on. At 9:35pm someone knocked on our door. My boyfriend, in his boxers, answered and it was the front office staff. “Hello I just wanted to come remind you guys that quiet hours start at 10pm and it’s now a little after 9:30 so it’s time for you guys to start settling down for the night.” (Like we’re a pack of teenagers). My boyfriend responded “we’re basically naked and been in bed for the past five minutes since getting home and settling in so what’s wrong, tv or the dog?” She responded “no it’s a complaint about stomping around.” So we can’t get ready for bed for 20 minutes without being harassed I guess. Solid stay
Solid stay on our way through the area. Got in late and left earlier in AM. Owner was very nice and accomadating. Booked this a long time ago, but as i recall, I booked because it was a good value/better priced than other options. Would definitely strongly consider this place again if in the area.
