Worst value for the money of almost any hotel I've ever stayed at. It was quite expensive but the room and public areas were in poor repair and dirty. The desk staff was dismissive and unhelpful. I won't stay here again.

Exceeds expectations at budget prices
I booked two rooms for two nights (Monday - Wednesday) in mid January. The property exceeded my expectations in most regards. Rooms are extremely clean, almost (but not) to the point of smelling chemical. King sized bed was very comfortable, ample pillows as well. Thermostat in the room operates in ranges versus to an exact temperature, but I was comfortable. The front door of the room faces a quaint courtyard, a sliding glass door in back opens to a micro-balcony facing the 101 freeway. Despite this, road noise was minimal and the black-out curtains do their job. Breakfast is included and is actually pretty good: cereals, fruits, grains + scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes and a pancake-making robot. Don't sleep on the pico de gallo which was fresh and excellent-- big chunks of jalapeno. The coffee is terrible but there's a Philz about a five minute walk away. Last but not least, the hot tub, open until 10pm was an awesome way to wind down. We even saw a little rabbit scurry across the patio while we were having a soak. I'd definitely stay again if the occasion arose.

All the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The free breakfast was also simple but nice. It’s also within walking distance to a CVS and a mall with lots of dining options. Close enough to the 101 but not too close that it’s noisy. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Thousand Oaks area. It was a great stop over after a long flight, before driving up further north to San Francisco.

Not bad could be better
Bathroom is very small and just doesn’t feel the cleanest. Hotel itself is very outdated with popcorn ceilings. Room is very small compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at recently. Staff was nice. They have a lot of technological advances like using a zoom receptionist machine for checkout which is kind of annoying because having someone in person is so much easier to understand. In terms of location and amenities i would stay here again but it’s just nothing spectacular.

Nice area to walk with other amenities around the area. There is a banquet room and there has been a wedding reception both times we’ve stayed there. Noisy if your room is close by. Wish they had a coffee station in lobby.

Not my first choice next trip
Some problems - will not be my first choice next trip. Hotel restaurant closes early at 8:45on Saturday night; bathroom fan/ventilator broken along with several room wall outlets not working but bed was comfortable and good breakfast available. Overall I am sure I could get better for less nearby.

Good location and satisfies our needs!
The scooters looked enticing, but we didn't have time to use them. The location of this property is very convenient to the nearby mall with AMC Theaters as well as the other mall to the north with Dave and Busters and Reign of Terror Halloween Haunt we visit every year. Unfortunately, the rooms need more improvement. It looks like there are more coast of paint over old coats of paint. The bathroom door gets stuck because the paint is so thick. The inside of the bathroom door literally had 2 strands of hair stuck on it. The shower pressure was nice, however. We appreciate the tv and channel guide and the air was strong, though a bit loud and there was only an ON or AUTO setting and not a LOW/MED/HIGH option. Breakfast was acceptable for a low(er) budget property. The selections were decent and included coffee options, cereal, danishes and even hot food - real eggs and (I think) real sausage as well as a pancake machine. Overall, we enjoy staying here because it's reasonably priced and is in a convenient location.

The electronic check in was good but the location by the front door makes it difficult to hear. We stayed three nights and breakfast was ok for two mornings but the third morning they actually had good food. They should swap the pancake maker out for a waffle maker the machine is slow and pancakes come out more like a crepe. Love the courtyard.
