I am very disappointed to put a negative review for a business in Sonoma, as we are locals (live 1 hr away), we love Sonoma and I am all about supporting local businesses. However, this one “deserves” a thorough review:
The good:
Location, Grounds, Nature
The bad:
Facility, rooms that need update and more cleaning (think of a $60 motel for $300 that we paid over Memorial Day)
The ugly:
Service that is selective (varies by customers); passive aggressive owners (two men who seems to be nice, but the smile is fake) – just read other reviews who mentioned dealing with them
IN SHORT, as I ran out of characters (you can read my full review on Yelp - and please do, because I try to be fair for the owners to provide the full picture of my experience):
$40 for breakfast charge for a 4 yrs old child, after being told they would not charge me (later, found out I should be happy, as they charge $50 "normally")
$50 more if you book it on Expedia - the hotel tells you at check out, laughingly, next time, book with us, you can save $50 (I called Expedia and they gave me a refund - a $50 coupon for future use)
