Good HotelPosted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: Welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Rooms and public areas maintained to a high standard.
Cons: The bathroom needed a refurb.
Location: We used the courtesy bus and train to visit Pompeii well worth it, in fact we went twice. A drive round the Amalfi coast is well worth it.
An enjoyable stay in a comfortable hotel. Pleasant room, although bathroom could do with refurbishment. Food varied and of a high standard and service throughout the hotel from reception to waiters and housekeeping staff was excellent. The courtesy bus to Sorrento was a useful and welcome bonus as parking on site is limited.

Excellent stay!!Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: The position of the hotel and the excellent service from staff
I stayed 4 nights in this lovely hotel. I was a little worried on arriving at the hotel that it was a little distance from the centre of Sorrento, but there was no need as there is an excellent shuttle bus service that the hotel provides and there is also the public bus service that stops right outside the hotel gates. I soon realised how I had made the right decision in choosing this hotel as firstly the views were fantastic, the tranquillity of it all as well, away from all the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. It was lovely to come back after a full day of travelling and sit it the gardens or by the pool and have a drink and relax. The staff were brilliant, I could not get over how helpful they were, they went out of their way for us. The only downside (and it is so small) is that the dinner we had at the hotel was a little on the poor side, it seemed a little tasteless. Breakfasts were great, lots to choose from. I would highly recommend the restaurant the hotel recommended where the owner comes and collects you and will then obviously take you back to the hotel again afterwards. It was an excellent meal ! I would highly recommend this hotel and should I ever return to Sorrento I would certainly choose the Grand Due Golfi to stay in again.

Underbart hotell!Posted Sep 15, 2014 on Hotels.com

Awesome hotel on the mountain. The view was beautiful! The only draw back was the shuttle bus was broken so they rented a smaller one so had to book in advance to be taken to town. A little inconvenient but would definately recommend this hotel and would go back again myself.

Great hotel, great location.Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness and staff.
Cons: The swimming pool area, pool is small and a lot of the sunbeds are in the shade but they are going to be moving this and refurbishing over the winter.
Location: Great location, views are lovely, village with restaurants nearby and easy to get to Sorrento and along the Amalfi coast.
The Grand Hotel Due Golfi really is a lovely hotel to stay at. The staff are lovely and very helpful, the facilities are good. It has a wonderful location high up in the hills overlooking Sorrento and Versuvius, the view is breathtaking. We were not lucky enough to get a sea view, however as our room was at the side of the hotel we could see the sea and looked over the hills so the view was fine. The rooms are a little on the small side but they are spotlessly cleaned everyday and everything worked perfectly. It is very easy to get around when based at this hotel, there is a complimentary shuttle bus in to Sorrento (20 mins) and the local public bus stops outside the hotel too, taking you to Sorrento or along the Amalfi coastal towns. The small village of Sant Agata is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel and has some nice restaurants to eat at. I would highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay and somewhere you don't have to worry about what you might find when you get there !
