This remodeled home on the Rio Grande River offers quiet comfort all year round. This section of the Rio Grande River is "gold medal water," with some of the best trout fishing in the state. Creede is only about 20 miles away, a wonderful, historic town with shops, restaurants, museums, and live theater shows. You'll also be less than 20 miles from the Wolf Creek Ski area, which boasts the most powder in Colorado.

Speaking of snow, this home has a two-car garage, so you won't have to remove the snowfall from your vehicle before heading to the slopes. You'll enjoy burnished floors, a propane fireplace, and comfortable furniture inside. The stainless steel appliances and gorgeous cookware of the full kitchen will make tonight's meal a joy to prepare. The telescope will make it easy to appreciate the beautiful, clear skies.

A couple details…
Could use the screens removed and cleaned. The same cobwebs were in the windows that were there last year only worse. Windows also need a cleaning inside/out. Windows won’t stay open on own. Wes adjustments. Had to prop them with books. House gets warm with no ac. Light switch in Master Bed has a short. Shocked one of us when tried to adjust the light. Last zone of sprinkler system under deck has a huge leak. Sticks for adjusting blinds are missing/broken. Some of the lights in living room don’t work. Other than these the place was great.

Cabin South Fork
Wonderful stay in the Landen cabin! Had a great time. Relaxing time on the back deck and enjoyed the river flowing right off the deck. Cabin was very comfortable and homey. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook any meal! Beds were all comfortable. Beautiful decor in every room. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be staying here again.!!!

Great place!
House was perfect for our needs. Bunk room and 1/2 bath are downstairs. 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths are upstairs. Everyone said their bed was comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. House backs up on to the Rio Grande river and has a great front and back porch. Skiing at Wolf Creek was about 25 mins away. Nearby restaurants were all good (Mountain Pizza, Ramon’s and Chavalos) We had a great time and look forward to coming back

This cabin was quite cute and had everything we needed. There was no air conditioning. Which is probably noted, but upstairs was quite warm in the daytime. However we wasnt there much in daytime as there was too much adventure to be had. We never did get the tv in the master to turn on and couldn't get the dishwasher to run. My pillow dropped behind the bed and once retrieved it came up with so much stuff stuck to it. Behind the bed hadn't been vacuumed in a very long time. We had to call vacasa to get wifi password. All in all no big deal.

Great South Fork Getaway!
The house was everything that we hoped it would be - beautiful home, amazing location, steps out the back door to the Rio Grande, and well-kept and well-appointed. Diana was amazing and responsive with information for us on all types of questions, including who to call for insider/local tips on great fishing! Definitely will be our go-to rental for trips to Sand Dunes and the South Fork area!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in South Fork. This home was great! It was exactly as presented online. The home was clean and well furnished. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the furniture was comfortable. We really enjoyed fishing in the river from the back yard. The property manager was easy to contact and responsive. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and very dark at night with great views of the Milky Way! We really liked this home. We would stay there again and would encourage others to stay there as well.

Great time!
We had a terrific experience staying here. It was the perfect place for a family looking to get away. The house is beautiful and cozy. The kitchen is stocked with every utensil, pot, pan, etc. you could possible need. Plenty of towels as well. We fished in the river behind the house and drove to some nearby spots for hiking and fishing. Diana was very helpful and available for anything we needed. Great stay! Didn’t want to leave!!
