Wonderful weekend getaway!!
I booked this house with a few friends and family for my 35th birthday weekend! I literally just wanted to relax in a pool and enjoy the weekend, and this property did not disappoint at all. The kayaks are a special touch too and were fun to use. The house was clean, the neighbors were friendly, there was enough parking. The house set up is great. Everything was clean and easy to find. The owners were great the very few times I reached out, quick to respond too, we are looking at booking here again with just family later this year!

Convenient and awesome patio/pool area!
Very convenient location for us to visit with family and friends around Tampa area. House is huge with plenty of space and areas I be together and retreat. There’s a little deferred maintenance and cleanliness was an issue when we arrived. The hosts were great with communication and refunded our cleaning fee. Thank you!

I’m not sure what you mean about a good cleaning. The home is cleaned and sanitized after every person so I’m not sure what your concerns were, You never reached out and said anything about the home not being clean, as for children under 12 of course there is there’s kayaks, indoor games and a pool with spa and there’s the canal which the kids love to swim in I’m sorry about the paddle boats, but they were removed from the listing a few months ago because they kept getting rusted and breaking and it just wasn’t cost-effective to keep replacing them

New year getaway
The house is beautiful and the neighborhood is perfect. The neighbors were friendly. Loved everything about this house, the space, and the area. The only thing that would have made the stay perfect was if it were cleaner. Its obvious the cleaning company comes in and makes the beds and restocks the linen closet and may sweep up the crumbs. This place needs a deep clean, the floors need mopped, furniture needs dusted, dishes in the cabinets need cleaned, just to name a few things. If visiting the area again I'd definitely pick this place, even if I had some cleaning to do!

They are usually very good and the house is normally left spotless so I’m really not sure what happened. Host Response to our needs was Superb
We had some issues with the facilities - insufficient linen, dishes, cutlery, etc. but when I notified our host they responded immediately. Also, the house had empty chip bags and was not as clean as we would have wanted. It is difficult if the host lives away - but she responded immediately to any and all of our concerns, and insisted on refunding our cleaning fee. The house could use some curtains and area lamps. As our host noted, other guests break dishes etc., and if they are not told, it is difficult to address these deficiencies. They were great to try to make things right. On the basis of this experience, I would recommend them as hosts for others. Bonnie

Perfect for a Family Vacation!
Our group of 6 adults and 2 teenagers just returned from our 4 night stay at the Hibiscus Beach House and our entire stay was absolutely perfect! The home itself is clean, bright and beautiful and Yael, the property owner, is amazing if you have any issues or just questions about the area. There were plenty of beds as well as multiple TV's and a game room for inside entertainment. We also spent a lot of time outside swimming in the pool, kayaking and going out on the paddleboat. The location is on a quiet canal, but just a few blocks away are several local beach restaurants, most of which provide nightly entertainment. The location is also close enough to parks such as Rainbow Springs, Weeki Wachee and Crystal River. It's also an easy drive to Tampa. We went tubing on Rainbow River and the younger group all went to Busch Gardens for a day. You can't go wrong with this property! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Place to Stay
The Hibiscus House was a perfect place to stay with a big family. Very spacious and room for everyone to have a great time. The pool and hot tube were the place to be. The canal is very clean and great for kayaking and swimming. Also plenty of depth for a boat if wanted. Can’t wait to visit again.

'Local's' Getaway House
The house was great and its not in a tourist trap area which kept doing day trips affordable, as well as, choosing to eat out. There is a grocery store minutes away which enable us to do a pick-up order and revisit for things forgotten. It is truly relaxing, quiet neighborhood. The owners were great to work with. Checkout was not overwhelming with rules and expectations like other properties. The house itself was roomy and very comfortable. Five stars across the board.

Beautiful home
My family and friends and their families had the best time! The channel was perfect for our older kids to fish and kayak and our littles absolutely loved the pool!! The house was big enough that we didn’t feel we were on top of each other and Yael was absolutely wonderful to work with!! Would definitely recommend staying in one of her properties!

Hernando get away
Brought the kids down to see their grandparents who live in Timber Pines. Pool and hot tub were a hit. The location on the canal is just beautiful. Owners very easy to get in touch with and we had a great stay.

Anniversary Celebration
Our 2 daughters, their spouses and children joined us to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The house and premises were exactly as shown & described in the listing. The 10 of us were comfortable in the living space, bedrooms & kitchen areas. The pool was enjoyed by all as were the kayaks! With the hectic lifestyle most of us live today, this house & grounds enabled our family to reconnect & make some wonderful memories.

Great property
The pictures show exactly what you will find when staying at Hibiscus House. Our family was in town for our daughter's wedding, and the house was big enough for all 8 of us. We were there when Tropical Storm Nicole roared through Hernando Beach, and we didn't lose power. The only drawback was the downstairs dishwasher wasn't working; however, the upstairs dishwasher was in working order. We notified Yael, and after the storm had passed he came out to look at it. We did use the paddle boat on Sunday of our stay and had a great time. Kudos to Yael and his wife as they were very responsive to our queries and needs.

Overall, our family enjoyed all of the amenities provided at the property. The kayaks, paddle boats, pool, spa, fire pit, large patio and balconies were a big hit! I did reach out to the owners upon arrival as there were several general maintenance concerns. The response was immediate. They acknowledged our concerns and offered to address them during our stay. As we had limited time booked, we declined. My biggest concern was air quality, we left with sore throats, likely from the dust. I would recommend the owners hold any additional bookings until they address the hvac and other maintenance issues at the home to ensure comfort and safety for their renters.

Great retreat for a big family
My family takes a vacation every summer, usually to a gulf beach area. This year traveling with 11 people we looked outside our normal areas for something affordable. We loved this listing for all the extras it offered, being on the canal with free use of water toys such as kayaks and paddle boats in addition to a beautiful pool sounded like a great choice for a family with kids ranging in age from 8-23. While I was a little disappointed by the “beach” in the area, that’s my bad, I should have done more research or maybe have known, the recreational activities advertised were a hit for our party. Having different activities right out the back door allowed people to do different things but still be together. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this house and all these extras were all we hoped they’d be. As for the house itself, getting to it and in it was a breeze. There was plenty of parking for 4 vehicles. I think the listed number it sleeps was a bit of a stretch but we made it work and there was plenty of space for air mattresses. It was clean and spacious. Multi-level decks provided lots of places for reading and solitude and as mentioned before the pool/dock area was a great place to relax and play all day. The kitchen could use a few more tools and dishes but we made it work. It’s vacation, not home, so I always expect to be a bit creative. All in all this was a great stay and I’d probably stay there again provided I adjust my idea of what the beach is. Thanks so much for helping my family make lasting memories.

Family vacation
The process to rent the property was very easy. Had great communication with the owner, responding within minutes. We had a family of 13. Kids ages 9-17. Love they had plenty to do from swimming, fishing, paddle boats and kayaks. Game room was great with pool table, ping pong, and plenty of games on rainy afternoons. The home was very roomy for us and clean. Met the owners as they made pool adjustments for us. They were very kind and easy to talk to. Would definitely recommend this property!

the location was phenomenal, all the amenities to enjoy were included (kayak, paddleboats etc) and it was more than big enough to have space for the 10 of us. LOVED the hot tub. Game room was a bonus for the kids to hang out and enjoy. Owners VERY responsive if we had any questions. Great stay!

All of our group is older we need to look for a place more on one level but this place was very nice roomy and pool and hot tube were great. The beds were comfortable we bought a can opener and pot holder need a pizza cutter most everything else was there. Very responsive if we notified them of something we needed. We would stay again if we can’t find something on one level

Family Vacation!
We had a wonderful time. The house was fantastic! We wish the temperature of the hot tub was hotter but that was the only thing that was a little let down. Loved the location! Held all of us with no problem. Would definitely book again!

Amazing Spring Break
This was such a fun vacation for our family and close friends. We picked this location because we wanted to visit all the springs in the area. This was the perfect house and the perfect location. The house has the pool, kayaks, paddle boats to keep old and young occupied and having fun!!! Very close shopping and restaurants. The owners were so quick to respond to anything and very helpful. The house has plenty of room and the best part was the game room upstairs for entertaining.

MENS GOLF TRIP
I HAVE RENTED HOTELS AND HOUSE FOR THE LAST 20YEARS IN THIS AREA OF FLORIDA THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST RENJOYABLE PLACES I HAVE STAYED THE FIRST NIGHT THE DISHWASHER DECIDED TO BREAK AND LEAK ALL OVER WHICH THE OWNER WOULD HAVE NOT KNOWN IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. HE HAD A REPAIR CREW AT THE HOUSE WITHIN HOURS, REPLACED THE DISHWASHER AND BY THE TIME WE RETURNED FROM GOLF IT WAS DONE AND THEY WERE GONE. THE OWNER HAD JUST DONE SOME RENOVATIONS TO THE HOUSE AND A FEW THINGS NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED BUT OVERALL IT IS A GREAT HOUSE AND LOCATION I HAVE ALREADY BOOKED FOR 2023

Property needs significant maintenance
A draw for us choosing this property was "a vacation home with amenities". The first line of the description says "Come enjoy this 5 bedroom 4 bath heated pool home...". The pool heater did not work. Even though it was likely the coldest weekend Hernando Beach has seen in some time, the heater did not work at all. The owner said that because it is cold it does not work well. The person cleaning the pool turned the heater up, said that it only ran when the jacuzzi was on, and that it was temperamental when it was cold out. He also contacted the owner and said that the owner would be out to check it. We never saw the owner. Additionally, the boards that make up the dock need to be replaced. When we stepped on one of them, our foot went through it. On the entrance, there are no railings on the landing by the door, though the holes that once held poles are present. Because we were all adults, we recognized the hazard and avoided standing near the edge of the landing, Families with young children would need to be extremely cautious as the drop is about six feet. The electricity in the first floor queen bedroom was not working when we arrived on Thursday. On Friday morning, we looked at the breaker box and saw that one of the breakers was flipped. When we flipped it back on, the electricity worked in that room. There were very few additional blankets, and the heater did not heat the bedrooms on the second floor well and the master bathroom at all. The interior finishes (painting have been poorly redone and the layout of the house is somewhat odd. For the nightly price of this property, we were expecting higher quality and good maintenance..

I am so sorry, It is posted on the property description about the temperatures, and I did text you and advised you of the heater for the pool and jacuzzi not being able to work in these temperatures. This was one of the coldest weekends in Florida. I apologize but the weather isn't something we can control. We do have extra blankets in the closet and also in the living room there’s a basket of blankets again I wish you would’ve contacted us so that we could have made it right I did go to the dock and did see where the plank that was broken (it was not loose or broken before) again I wish you would have contacted us (not thru a review) and we would have fixed it the same day. Many things can be resolved if you communicate with the owners at the time of the incidents, leaving a review with the issues doesn't give us chance to fix any issues while you are staying
