Great Trip to St Louis!
Pleasantly surprised at how nice the apartment was compared to the neighborhood and building. Check in was quick and smooth, loved being able to park in the covered garage at night. The building was quiet, neighborhood was quiet, beds were comfortable, Overall it was everything we needed for our weekend trip to St Louis. My only complaint was the broken floor transition piece between the one bedroom and hallway; mainly because I had my 2 young kiddos that ran barefoot and it was asking for an injury.

Dingy, unkempt & stinking
The building is in a safe neighborhood. However, it’s very old & dingy. Looks like the common areas are never cleaned. The elevator did not work for 5 days out of our 2 week stay. It was unusable for 2 other days due to disgusting rotten smell. Not sure if a dog had barfed or someone dragged a leaky trash bag into it. The furniture in the condo is falling apart. The couch is so sagged that we had to stack pillows & extra comforter on it to be able to sit. Dining table is so flimsy & unstable that we were afraid it was going to fall apart. Lights in the hallway did not work. The manager said he was going to send someone to look into it but no one showed up. Internet was down for 2 days & hadn’t come back by the time we left. The wood flooring is peeling & falling apart. Carpets need a thorough deep cleaning. The furnace is a mess & has a mind of its own. It would sometimes blow hot air & sometimes blow cold air. Overall, if we were there under different circumstances, we would’ve moved out in a heartbeat. The only good thing abt the condo is its proximity to Children’s Hospital where our son was admitted for an open heart surgery.

Great location and secure underground parking.
Great location nice layout. The only issue was the elevator was not working on Sunday but we managed. we will be back if traveling to St Louis again

Pictures didn’t tell the truth
In pictures the unit looked nice. The sofa springs were broken and sofa unusable. The carpets were old and dirty. The dishwasher had a terrible stench.. The bathtub/shower was slick. The host did put nonskid strips in bathtub and sanitized dishwasher. He said he couldn’t do anything about the sofa but would discount our bill( we will see). The building was supposed to have secure entry requiring a code, but the doors were never locked and open. And the Wi-Fi which was critical for my spouses work didn’t operate for two days and had to go to another location. We deserve a refund!!

The pictures made the place seem brighter and more cheerful. It was a pretty inexpensive so it was probably a decent value but there were things that could have been done to make the experience better.

Short Stay
The rental process was easy, and the host responded promptly to any questions. The listing does need to be updated to reflect that the garage door opener is now on a fob versus a proxy card. The building did have a musty odor so we were relieved when we got into the apartment and it smelled great the entire stay. The metro link is close but they area immediately around it seemed a bit questionable. However everywhere else seemed fine and there is an affluent neighborhood at the opposite end of the street.

Overall, a pretty good place. Beds are comfy and the host is nice and the apartment is in a great part of town. However, the air conditioner unit is in the first room so the temperature is inconsistent throughout the house. And the couch is extremely uncomfortable and we found a few centipedes.

Weekend getaway
We took a short trip to St. Louis to see the sights. My oldest and her husband joined us. They are scoping out cities to relocate to when she finishes medical school. The location was perfect and she loved we were so close to Washu and the zoo. She loved the culture and vibe of the city. We visited Delmar Loop, the zoo, the arch and city museum. The apartment was just the right size for our short visit. Arthur was available to answer all our questions. The neighborhood was safe and we were always comfortable. Parking was a bit tricky but we made it work. We were never bothered by noisy neighbors. The apartment was clean and had what we needed for our short stay.

Overall the stay was OK. Location to Wash U is great. The building hallways had an odd odor and the air units and vents were in need of cleaning. There were no USB plugs available. Beds were comfy, furniture was not.

When we got to the property, the first thing we noticed was the pictures of the building were way outdated. Building was very dirty and old with lots of bugs and dirt along the front path, into the building, elevator and floor unit was on. The smell was horrendous. Went into unit and there were centipedes in the bathtub, the kitchen floor looked like it hadn’t been swept, there was paint chips on the living room floor and the place smelled. The door had 3 locks on it. There was no way we were staying there with bugs, the disgusting dirty smells and the safety concern with all the locks on a 4th floor unit. Didn’t stay….went and got a very clean and safe hotel room for our stay. The 1 star review is spot on. The others do not seem real. Sent email to owner about us not staying and never heard a word from him.

The pictures you have online aren’t even close to what I walked into. The air conditioner kept people awake it was so loud and the thermostat wouldn’t work. It would only cool the apartment to 74 degrees. I would walk from the bedroom to the kitchen and I would be sweating. The tub/shower only had hot water so that was fun trying to cook off in the heat wave outside and inside the apartment. There were other things wrong in the apartment that I know wouldn’t have passed a city code inspection and I took pictures. On checking day I went up to the apartment first. I liked that there is a code to get into the apartment complex and the code on the box to get the key for the apartment. However, when I walked in and saw the place, I almost put the key back and was going to find somewhere else to stay for our family vacation. I will never recommend any of my friends or family to book through Expedia or VRBO again. Thank you Cory

Great place and location in St. Louis
The apartment is setup exactly as described, with comfortable beds, useful kitchen and in-unit laundry machines. The check-in/out process was straight forward and easy. Arthur was very helpful and easy to communicate with. He went the extra mile to accommodate a change in our schedule, making sure we had the check-in info we needed. For us the location is perfect: near WashU, Forest Park, Central West End and more. Will definitely stay here again!

Great location near Forest Park, cozy apartment
Renting from Arthur was a pleasant experience. I had a number of questions about getting into the garage, etc. and he answered them promptly and thoroughly. He is a great host. The apartment was located close to almost every place we wanted to go. Having a dedicated parking space in a garage was a HUGE plus. The apartment was the perfect size for our family of three. I loved that in addition to a good AC system, there was another portable AC unit in the master bedroom. Made it nice and cool for sleeping. Really liked the firm mattress, we slept like logs. We used the washer/dryer, I was pleased to find laundry detergent in the closet. We were thankful to have a nice retreat to come home to after all our daytime activities around town.

this is a good apartment, very safe and clean. I like the owner providing us lots of laundry supply. the location is great. only 2 things bothered me during my stay: no cutting board in kitchen!! all of kitchen knives are terrible dull!! fortunately, I don't cook a lot, but those are making my limited cooking more difficult. otherwise, it was a perfect stay. thanks.

Great location for my needs In A nice neighborhood and close to everything you would need. Easy highway access and not to hard to find. Will be a great place to stay once Covid is over and everything St Louis has to offer opens back up. Host was excellent great communication. The apartment was very clean and the beds super comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here.
