Quiet, comfortable hotel - friendly staff

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Let me break this down. Staff - from the moment we walked in until the time we left 3 days later the staff was courteous and professional. They truly care about a guest's stay there and made every effort to ensure our comfort. No problems arose. Room - the room was clean and larger than the online pics suggest. We stayed in a deluxe king suite. The best part of the room was the bed - as it should be. I am very particular about cleanliness when it comes to a hotel room and this one was top-notch on that scale. The only deficiency (if you want to call it that) with the room was that the hardwood floor in the extra room was scratched up from the table. Hot breakfast - they changed it up from day to day but we could always count on scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, oatmeal, waffles, fruit, cereal (3 kinds), bagels, yogurt, bisquits and sausage gravy. The lady who worked in there kept the tables very clean and she was exceptionally friendly. Pool, hot tub, & workout equipment - we did not use any of these but a walk-through showed they appeared clean and in excellent condition.

Wildwood hotel

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: Beds were very comfortable and the shower/tub was quite roomy. Room had a fridge and microwave.
Cons: Room was tidy but could have used a good deep cleaning.
Location: A bit of a remote location but easy access to either highway 40 or 44. Nice restaurant across the street, movie theater and sports bar.
Overall the hotel was very quiet and comfortable. The area was quiet with a lot of nice amenities within walking distance and quite safe with the police station right across the street. The location might seem a little bit remote for someone traveling to St. Louis but if you value quiet and piece of mind, the tiny amount of extra driving will be worth it.

Just another stay at Hotel

Posted Sep 26, 2014
Cons: The cable would go in and out everyone once in a while, but I told the front desk and they said the would call the company.
I have staying at this hotel for every business trip to the STL area for the past two years now. Staff is always so friendly, even when I checked in at 11pm this time. The area is just so warm and comforting with great restaurants around the area. This time, my coworker went with me and she just raved about the hotel when we left saying the next time she comes out to visit, she is staying here! Every time I have recommended The Wildwood Hotel, everyone has been impressed.

Great value-handy amenities

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: Clean, nice decor and pet friendly.
Cons: Get AC with a thermostat so you can have it automatically come on and off, it was noisy to have the fan running all night long.
Location: Nice selection of restaurants, fast food, grocery store within walking distance. Free parking. Cinemas across the street.
The Wildwood is a nice, relatively new hotel 30 minutes to so west of downtown St. Louis. It is in a new area with restaurants, fast food, grocery etc and a movie theater across the street. The room was very generously sized, fridge and microwave included. The bathroom was also spacious and everything was very clean. The bed was super and finally parking was free. They were very pet friendly and had a reasonable ($15) charge. The AC was a bit noisy and it was either on or off, no thermostatic control on the fan. Also it was very easy to hear the sounds from the room above. Overall, a nice place for a family or couple, with pet on their way across the country.

Beatiful hotel is peaceful setting.

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Accomodations are first class and very clean. Pool and hot tub are nice and the breakfast is better than most other places. Staff is great!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk called after we got settled in our room to see if everything was okay and if we needed anything. Hotel is beautiful and in a quiet area, yet you have easy access to all parts of St. Louis. Will definitely stay with them again.

Pros: very clean and nice, people were very friendly
Location: The Location is a bit hard to find, it is in a small mall, but this also gave a lot of stores and restaurants near by.
Everyone was very nice and the hotel ran well. only 2 minor problems, almost slipped and fell in the shower, and the elevator is realllllly sloow

Wonderful staff but not so great place

Posted Sep 9, 2014
The hotel was beautiful but there were a few problems. The hardwood floors had large scratches on them in our room. Also there was a refrigerator in the room that had a terrible order and it was broken. We had to ask to have it removed and the room sprayed due the smell. The room also was not that clean and it may be because I am a extremely clean person. One thing I can say that every staff member who worked at the hotel were very friendly.
