Chickens? ??

Posted Feb 28, 2015
We arrived at this hotel after a pretty scary drive through a not great part of town. Our reservation was for three people, 2 adults 1 child. We requested a roll away bed or room with 2 double beds when we reserved the room. Upon check in we were told we'd be in a room with a king bed only and that requests made via Expedia were not in their policy to honor. We did manage to get a roll away bed but not without major attitude from the front desk. Later in the evening we requested extra blankets and never received them. The neighborhood this hotel is located in IS NOT SAFE and we felt very uncomfortable walking from our car back to the hotel at night. There are chickens wandering around the property as well. We were woken up several times by the rooster early in the morning.

watch out for mold

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: Get someone some washcloths and hand towels when requested because they weren't in the room. CLEAN THE MOLD UP BEFORE SOMEON GETS REALLY SICK
We checked in and went to the room to freshen up for a night out. The bathroom had no washcloths, hand towels or shampoo but there was 2 bottles of conditioner. We called the front desk to see about getting a couple washcloths and hand towels and shampoo and we were told that we were not the first ones to call down to the desk with this problem but no one could help us out because they did not know where there were any washcloths or hand towels or shampoo. Then I stepped into the shower to clean up and the first thing to catch my eye was an area approximately 2 square feet on the ceiling that was covered with black mold. Bye this time we were running late and didn't want to try and get another room and cause us to be late for a dinner reservation so we just finished getting ready and left the hotel. We came back slept, got up and checked out. PRETTY SAD

Equipe educada e atenciosa. Bom café da manhã. Localização razoável, mas com fácil acesso.

The location and condition of the hotel is good. A short trip from downtown, but worth the time. Excellent stay for less

Pros: Convenient parking and well lit at night.
Cons: Need to leave 2 waste baskets in room. I think it was an oversight.
Close to the Coliseum which was convenient for my husband and I for New Years celebration. The king size bed mattress was very comfortable. Even the pillows were soft and everything was very clean and smelled great. This was 2nd Hampton Inn to stay on the way to La Belle. Will stay at H. I. on way back home to Indiana.

Nice spot away from the bustle

Posted Dec 10, 2014
I've stayed at the same location several times. It's been an very good stay each time. The cost is more reasonable than staying downtown, and the travel to the visiter spots is minor. From my point of view, it is a good alternative to being in the midst of the bustle.
