"Another cool historic stop. The renovation is fantastic. Great central lobby, with plenty of history hanging on the walls. Friendly and helpful staff. Our room was perfect… every detail was done with taste and quality. The restaurant was closed on the day we arrived, but the bar was serving, and worked out just fine. Not much going on around the hotel… pretty quiet scene. We’ll come back. "

"First, if you're going to Midland, it's most likely that you're either passing through-- as we were-- or you're going there for work... there are really no other reasons, as it is one of the ugliest, most depressing and boring cities imaginable. But that said, if you need a place to stay there, this hotel and it's immediate environs are probably as good as it gets out on the suburban fringe of the city (the downtown is a wasteland with no character, no walkability, and nothing interesting). So, we had no complaints about the hotel...clean, efficient, adequate service, busy but not too noisy, convenient location with some of the usual chain dining options. "
