The room was comfortable and had a lot of character. The breakfasts were delicious and served hot. I enjoyed a B&B that made me feel at home and welcomed.

Hi Thomas, so glad you enjoyed your stay. See you next time. Thanks
This B&B is amazing! It's beautifully decorated, and it feels so welcoming. The owners don't hover and allow you to come and go as you please. Breakfast was great with an option made for us with additional options in the kitchen.
The house was beautiful! The area was a bit sketchy but all was well. The only thing that would make it better is a place (or rack) to put a suitcase on and possible a small table or shelf to put toiletries on in the bathroom.
Loved the nostalgia of the home!

Hi Donna, the N. 4th St. Historic District is a collection of homes from the 1870s to 1890s being restored by a number of families living in them. I’m sorry it’s not perfect yet, however, is much nicer than it was when I started in 1995. We don’t have any issues with anything going on here that shouldn’t be. As far as your room it has one of the biggest bathrooms we have and has a 36 inch vanity on which there’s plenty of room to put all your toiletries. We do have rooms with smaller bathrooms. Since you get to select your room, select one which fits your needs. There’s a large chair in that room on which you can put a suitcase. But there’s not enough room for anything else. As you selected the smallest, and least expensive room. I’m glad you enjoy the historic nature of the home, which is the reason we exist. Putting four bathrooms in bedrooms which were built in 1870 before indoor plumbing existed is always a challenge, the people seem to like having a private bathroom, small or otherwise.
We really enjoyed our stay. Wish we could've stayed longer. Very quite & cozy. Woke up to a great breakfast and Scott is a great host!! If we are ever in the are4a again, we will definitely stay here again!
Everything was fine...except for the bathroom: extremely small, with a very noisy fan...

Hi Jean Luc, thanks for your review. Fitting bathrooms in an 1870 Victorian is always a challenge. We have 5 rooms with bathrooms larger than the room you selected. Thanks
An extraordinary restoration of a lovely 1870’s home-beautifully decorated with period furnishings, yet with modern kitchen and bath facilities. It was a joy to stay there and look at all the memorabilia.

Hi Michael, glad you enjoyed your stay! See you next time.
This beautiful antique bed and breakfast was a fun time for my husband and me. The bedroom and bathroom were a bit small, and I would have lowered the temperature in the room, but that was not an option. I realize the rooms may differ. Breakfast was excellent, and the proprietor was a joy to talk to.

Hi Carolyn, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and breakfast. I'm not sure why you thought you couldn't lower the temperature in the room, but all you had to do was ask or just turn it down in the dining room. Working bathrooms into an 1870 Victorian is complicated so they are as large as the space allows for a house built with no indoor plumbing. Our suite has a huge bathroom so you may want to try that next time. Thanks!
Can’t say enough good things about this place. The atmosphere is incredible. Just dripping with history. The room was filled with antiques and felt like I was staying the night with my parents. Scott was accommodating, friendly and it was nice to chat with him about the renovation of the house and the world in general. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. This is a real gem in the area. I highly recommend a stay here.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, the new electric fireplace effect in these rooms is a fun touch. We also have 3 gas fireplaces on the first floor in the larger public rooms.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a beautiful house and the owner Scott is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious too. They are taking COVID precautions seriously and we felt very safe here. Would highly recommend!
It was a beautiful old home, it had antique furniture, a fire place in each room, very well decorated if you like antiques, which we love. The breakfast was very good and the owner was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back someday.
The B & B is in a poor neighborhood but, the B & B was Re-done and appeared in good overall condition. It was clean and well taken care of and comfortable. Priced reasonably.

Thanks for your kind review and I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. The North Fourth Street Historic District runs 4 blocks from the High School to Franklin Ave. All the homes there are being restored. This is a middle class neighborhood of all working families and some retired folks. And adjoins our historic downtown. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay.
Scott is a wonderful host, very accommodating and helplfu! You can see he has put a lot of love and work restoring this house From the late 1800. A restful weekend!

Hi, so glad you enjoyed your stay! See you next time.
I cannot imagine staying in a conventional motel/hotel in the Steubenville area when Scott's B & B's are available. Beautifully restored old homes with great beds, interesting appointments, comfortable private baths and the best hospitality you'll ever find. Family needs sometimes take us to this region, and visiting Bayberry enhances the experience A LOT!

Great place to stay. Highly recommended. Scott is a fantastic host. We visited the Cleveland and Pittsburgh area and stayed for day out of the city. Lots of history in the area and the home. And...a great price with breakfast included.
