Late fall hot tea

Posted Nov 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
My stay at Hotel Hellsten was pleasant, room was of sufficient size and clean. I will consider it next time I have business in Stockholm. Time of year required use of their free hot tea in the hotel's lounge/lobby. While about ten to fifteen minutes walk from the airport train, walking may be worth your while considering taxi prices in Sweden at current exchange rates. Accordingly, the old town is a bit of a walk away; however, hotel pricing reflects that more than adequately. Neighborhood is nice and restaurants, pedestrian zone, subway station, Asplund's city library, etc. within close walking distance. Rooms offered place to work and acceptable internet connectivity. Free breakfast had solid choices.

Let Down

Posted Nov 14, 2013
Pros: Charming little place with a nice bar.
Cons: Some rooms way to small.
Location: only 2 stops from city centre on metro and close to Hard Rock Cafe.
Just felt the hotel did not live upto its pictures and descriptions on the website. The first room we had a standard double was way too small so asked for an upgrade for the remaining nights that room was a superior and for 2 people I wouldnt go with any less. The standard double also had 2 singles pushed together which was quite uncomfortable the superior had a proper double. It is an ok place but just like I said not as good as on its website and for the price would stay a little closer to city centre next time.

Quirky and good

Posted Nov 14, 2013
The room was small but the bed was comfortable. The style of the hotel is quirky and with some heart. The location is within a pleasant walk of the main town. The staff were helpful and cheerful. Overall, a good choice.

Nice hotel close to city center

Posted Nov 6, 2013
Pros: Breakfast selection
Cons: Bedding and bathrooms
It's a nice hotel. We stayed in a standard double room, spacious room at the 3rd floor (roof), but the bathroom was really small. To go to the shower you would have to slide between the toilet and sink (which is really small). The double bed was a joint of two single size beds and a thin double mattress. My girlfriend was impressed by the breakfast, different options of yoghurt, porridge along with a selection of seeds and nuts.
