Tile in bathroom was cracking and coming up. I stubbed my toe on it multiple times. The shower was patched up and cracking. There was all over the floor in the downstairs bathroom. The breakfast was not what I would usually expect from Hilton. The fruit was rotten, the grits were very dry, they served powdered eggs omelet with dale cheese that was stale like it was from yesterday. I never leave reviews and spent a lot of money on a sub par hotel. Not up to par with any other hilton hotels that i have stayed at. Should not have the hilton name.

Went there for a get away with my family overall nice place but our vehicle got stolen out the parking lot the first night we was there. The thieves sat there on camera in front of the lobby for 2 hours until they stole our vehicle and no one noticed anything.

They do not have enough staff to run the Kitchen and dinning Hall. Some of the stuff that is on line for food is not on the paper Menu.

We booked a 2 night stay. Upon arrival everything was great. Check in was great. The second day we left around noon and did not return until 11:15 pm. We entered our room to find that it was not cleaned that day. Dirty dishes still in room, no towels, trash overflowing, etc. I called the front desk to report this and at least get some towels. We were tired from a very long day. The young lady who brought us towels confirmed it was daily cleaning and just said she would let her manager know. No one from management ever addressed the issue. I was just disappointed. I did not expect this at the Double Tree.

The young lady that check me in (Paige) was very nice. The warm cookies were great along with the complimentary water. There was an issue with the blackout shade & it was promptly resolved. I was moved quickly to another room & the front desk clerk Paige brought the room key almost immediately it seemed like with the exception of waiting on elevator to get to me. She gets an “A” for customer service & doing so with a smile !

The bed was uncomfortable. I was way too firm. I would have been just as comfortable sleeping on the floor. My 15 year old son said the same. The room was decent. I could have been cleaned a little better. The hotel location was right near a busy highway which the sound traveled into the 436 room.

I really wanted to give this hotel a higher rating. We visited the Lake Charles area twice in the last year to look at birds. We had a bad hotel experience in Lake Charles last year and wanted to give Sulphur a try. Sulphur is much less congested than Lake Charles and this hotel has many restaurants nearby. The hotel is right next to the highway and traffic sounds are constant. I don't mind that because I always bring silicone ear plugs (for sleeping) when I travel. However, the bathroom had a sewage smell part of the time. We were on the 4th floor -409-and liked the room a lot. ,y wife's an architect and thinks the roof pump pulling the air from the bathroom (in a central shaft) wasn't working. Yes, we could've asked to move to a different room but arrived at the hotel late both nights. The sewage smell problem is either a maintenance or design problem. It's a shame because the hotel seems new. We'll stay in Sulphur again but will try a different hotel.

The facility looks new and clean. However, on the 2nd night of our stay on Christmas Eve, there’s no water. We could understand that it’s no fault of theirs that the City turned off the water but what we didn’t like was there was no prior warning and it caught us off guard.

This property was definitely remolded. I can’t tell what it was prior, but this shouldn’t be associated with a “Hilton”. I have a family member that works for Hilton and this property does not feel, nor look like a Hilton property. The shampoo and conditioner in the room was cheap and awful. Why are you having to pay for a breakfast there when you are spending money to stay there in the first place. Make sure you get a print out of your bill before you leave. Do you see all the taxes they had on. This in price gouging. Do not stay at this property
