Affordable and good location
For sure a great location for the price! The host was very friendly and gave us recommendations of places to see and where to go. Bedroom and bathroom were overall clean, yet not super comfortable.The hotel's condition could be better. It was a bit run down and the air conditioner was that old that the temperature couldn't be adjusted. I'd still recommend to stay at this hotel if you don't mind some minor imperfections.

Thanks for the good rewiew especialy in the point were you wrote clean room this is very important for me , abaut the air conditioner, in each room there is a control and is possible adjusted very easy the temperature , we are always ready to help in case a guest don't understand how work the control or if by accident the battery in the control are down and doesn't work well..The old air conditioner is very good and after many years work better then one new,we keep always clean it .

The host was excellent and supported not only our stay in Syracuse, but also our future travels around Sicily. He assisted with phone calls and reservations and took the time to suggest cut highlights. The room was large and very clean and there were no challenges with WiFi, hot water or cleanliness. Breakfast was served in a pleasant room. We lived the location just outside of Ortigia, so we had local food choices and it is a very quick walk to all regional buses.

Decent apartment
For our four night visit to Siracusa we stayed at Caravaggio’s bed and breakfast (although we only went for the bed option). Because the room was within an apartment it was necessary to call the proprietor shortly before arriving to ensure that he could be there to welcome us. In addition to showing us where every thing was, he was also able to offer advice regarding buses, beaches, events and good places to eat etc.. The room was spacious with a good sized bathroom. The beds were firm but comfortable. In addition to a television there was also a good air-conditioning unit which proved to be essential during our stay in July when the midday temperatures outside were reaching 33c. There was also the use of a fridge just outside our room for our personal use. Unfortunately there was no tea or coffee making facilities available so I would suggest a travel kettle, if like us you value a early morning cuppa. The proprietor’s wife cleaned and tidied the room each day and changed the towels every two days. Being located just a short walk from the Island of Ortigia proved a blessing because we ended up spending most of our time there.

Simple but great!
Great location- This B&B was located just a couple blocks from the bridge to Ortigia. Rooms were large and very clean but lacked character. Breakfast was limited, but reasonably priced, convenient, and good quality. The best part was the owner who was personable and helpful. He was kind enough to offer to recommend and call a local vineyard to book a wine tour and lunch for us. Usually this needs to be done at least 2 days in advance, but he was able to set it up the morning g of the tour. Great customer service!

Comfortable and cool acommodations close to Ortigi
Antonio, the owner is kind and attentive. He was very helpful in getting us oriented in Siracusa. The room was well priced, clean, with excellent air conditioning and a good shower. Very close to Ortigia with a good pizza restaurant right downstairs, highest rated gelato within one block.

A great experience
Antonio, the proprietor, was extremely helpful with advice and showed great kindness to us. The hotel is well run and kept very clean. It is also quite centrally located within easy reach of the island of Ortigia which is the historic old town of Syracuse. We may well come back again to B&B Carivaggio when the weather is not so hot!

The hotel is very small and does not offer breakfast. It was very close to everyting in the city. We could walk anywhere. The pizzaria nextdoor is a must try. The owner of the hotel gave us alot of information about things to do around the area.

Caravaggio is a B&B and not Hotel ,and server breakfast every morning with a extra of 3 euro .

Spent 7 days at the B&B. Room and breakfast was very good. It is situated close to all the sites. The owner provided us with all information and made sure our stay was excellent. Would go back and highly recommend

Excellent b&b. Good location. Peaceful. Cleaned. Air-conditioned and fridge. Good price as well. Antonio is a good host. I suppose that there are no real drawbacks but if the building had a lift it would be welcome, although hotel is on a first floor. Recommended.

It's located in the middle of train/bus station and the old town, 5 mins walking to old town. Area arround the hotel is safe. Appreciated the B&B owner Antonio who provided many tips for our stay in italy, really appreciated!!!!

Convenient for visiting Ortygia
Easy 15 minute walk from train and bus stations. Manager/owner was extremely accommodating and helpful and made us feel welcome and safe. He provided a local map and bus info of the local area. Accommodations are basic but very, very clean. I would stay here again if I ever return to beautiful Siracusa.

Pleasant stay
We enjoyed Bed and Breakfast Caravaggio. Our host, Antonio, was helpful and extremely nice during our stay. B&B Caravaggio is very close to Ortigia, the center of Syracuse (about a three minute walk). The breakfast was ample and tasty, consisting of typical Sicilian fare (sweet croissants, cold cuts, juice, coffee). The room was large by European standards and very comfortable. At 57 euros per night, I felt it was a very good value. I would stay here again.

It is a good location and the host was very serious about the business. The room was good but lacking a proper wardrobe and tv was very old and small. Breakfast was generous , had variety and punctual. Overall, it is a good place to stay in Siracusa. There was no lift to the B&B which is bad if you have heavy luggage.

close to all must-see sights
Very nice experience from our stay at Caravaggio. Central position, close to Ortigia and to rail/bus station, the room was large and clean, as well the bathroom, the breakfast was excellent and the price was o.k. The best of all was the owner of the B&B, a young person who gave us a lot of useful information and who has treated the guests with care and attention. If again in Siracusa we will stay there for sure.

Antonio the owner was very helpful and more than happy to look up things for us on the internet and to store our luggage for us when we checked out.Location was very good,only 10 minutes from the bus&train station,5 mins from Ortigia and 30 mins from the archeological sites.The room was spacious but the walls were very thin and the beds not particularly comfortable.Shower was good with ample hot weather.Breakfast had a good selection and he was happy to make tea.

The gentleman who runs this B&B was the most helpful person in an emergency. He went out of his way to help us with our problems. He also helped everyone who came, even ringing other places to see if they had vacancies. He has a fount of information about all travel in Sicily and Italy. This B6B served the best breakfast, with all fresh, good, food. Nothing in cellophane.

Per clienti esigenti ci sono tanti hotel e lussuosi B&B nelle vicinanze basta spendere un po' di piu' , noi ci rivolgiamo ed accontentiamo una clientela semplice che non ha pretese di camere lussuose o super moderne ma cerca un luogo pulito e comodo per visitare Siracusa , Ortigia e i dintorni le foto inserite nei vari potali parlano chiaro .

Ottimo bed & breakfast a due passi da Ortigia. Facilità di parcheggio nelle vie limitrofe. Non abbiamo usufruito della colazione in quanto la zona è piena di Bar. Antonio è stato un host molto gentile e puntuale. Assolutamente consigliato.

la struttura si trova proprio in centro ,molto semplice raggiungere Ortigia ma anche i siti del parco Neapolis ecc.Il gestore molto disponibile ,ci ha aiutati per il parcheggio e dato tutte le dritte possibili.

Esta súper bien situado para visitar Ortigia. Antonio es un AMOR y nos ayudó con todo lo que pudo para solucionar el problema del robo de la cartera. Nos dedico horas de su tiempo para encontrar las soluciones. El desayuno que no está incluido pero por 4€ ES EL MEJOR .

bien que l'établissement soit idéalement placé, l'ensemble nous a paru un peu vieillot et sombre, les prestations inexistantes. lors de notre sélection, nous avions précisé parking et petit-déjeuner, or ces 2 éléments étaient exclus. le rapport qualité-prix étaient inférieur par rapport aux autres établissements fréquentés pendant notre séjour. par manque de parking, notre voiture de location a été accrochée, résultats: frais supplémentaire au près de l'agence de location.

B&B a due passi da Ortigia, il cuore di Siracusa. Camera e bagno spaziosi e puliti, wi-fi libero, parcheggi pubblici abbastanza comodi. All’accoglienza ci hanno fornito una mappa della città suggerendoci luoghi da visitare e dove mangiare. A chi lo sceglie d’estate consigliamo di dormire con finestra chiusa e condizionatore acceso per via delle troppe zanzare!

Buon B&B , camera pulita e letto comodo ,arredo semplice ma ok per chi non ha grosse pretese in termini di arredi , posizione pefetta in centro Siracusa con la zona pedonale di Ortigia a soli 2 minuti a piedi , tutta la zona molto sicura anche di sera tardi perche' piena di ristoranti , pizzerie bar ecc ,

la migliore risposta sono le altre recensioni !!!l le persone intelligenti capiscono , voi invece clienti della tipologia vorrei ma non posso ....cercavate un hotel 4 stelle e siete finiti in un semplice B&B sfogando cosi' con questo commento la vostra frustrazione . ma poi' non capisco ,stare piu' notti in una struttura e non dire niente a noi nonostante siamo sempre presenti, ne una richiesta di cambio camera ecc......? mi chiedete solamente dove mangiare il cannolo e la granita e dove fare il bagno a mare? anche io vi do ZERO .

Molto vicino al centro raggiungibile facilmente a piedi. Ci hanno dato una cartina della città e ci hanno spiegato come raggiungere le principali attrazioni con qualche consiglio sull'orario.
