Taking a little road trip to the villages, towns and cities in the area of Talin will provide you with a real taste of the diverse people and landscapes of the region. If you're keen to explore more of the region, you'll find Byurakan, 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the west, and Ecmiadzin 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the northwest.
Yerevan, is another interesting spot to head to. It is about 35 miles (56 kilometers) from Talin and offers a wide range of points of interest, including Mother Armenia, Tsitsernakaberd and Yerevan Zoo. Yerevan has a lot to offer those willing to explore a little deeper. Erebuni Fortress, Yerevan TV Tower and National Gallery of Armenia are just a couple of the other sights not to pass by.
