Tidal Serenity- Remote Waterfront Home with dock

Two full houses one property. Perfectly set up for a multi-generational, authentic Eastern Shore vacation, Tidal Serenity will take you back to simpler times.
Located on St. John's Creek on Taylor's Island, the serene location will prompt you to unplug and unwind.
The waterfront is fantastic for kayaking, and the dock is a great place to try crabbing and fishing. You have full access to entire property and the use of crab pots, indoor and outdoor games and 4 kayaks to enjoy your families stay.
With a bunkhouse that sleeps ten and the three-bedroom main house that sleeps six, you'll feel like you have a summer camp all to yourselves.

Give Tidal Serenity a spin, and find out what the magic of the shore is all about!

****New this year Starlink so you don't have to compromise on Wifi for both work and play while enjoying Maryland's beautiful scenery.
We also installed all new HVAC ductless systems in both houses. Whisper quiet and very powerful. Should also mention we updated the kitchen and bathroom in the main house to feature granite countertops.

Nature Abound
Your Tidal Serenity home is a dream come true! Our stay was an incredible nature experience. The house was clean and comfy and the dock was the perfect centerpiece for adventure and fun. We kayaked, crabbed, fished and spotted a TON of amazing birds. We visited Blackwater Bakery in Cambridge, Emily’s Farm, Blackwater National Refuge and Harriet Tubman’s Underground Railroad National Park and mostly-hung around the property exploring Taylor’s island on bike and foot. We hope to visit again…and will bring the bug spray!!!

So much to do!
We highly recommend this VRBO. The dock goes out over St. John Creek, where we enjoyed kayaking, crabbing and watching the sunset. The kitchen in the main house worked well for preparing meals for the 14 of us. Outdoor games including croquet, bocce ball, and ladder ball were provided. We enjoyed the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, Emily’s Produce, the Harriet Tubman Museum in Cambridge, and the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park. Tubman was born into slavery in Dorchester County, where Taylors Island is located. The host of the VRBO was very responsive and helpful and will work with you to help you have a lovely stay.

Fall Family Getaway
We were looking for a space for a large group for a long fall weekend. This place did not disappoint. The house and property were clean and well maintained. The second house gave us lots of room for all of our our visitors. Although the weather was not great the boys enjoyed fishing on the river. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the quiet. Would definitely return.

Beautiful & Relaxing Family Vacation Spot
Our entire family loved this property. Cute bungalows with plenty of room for multi-generational families. Both the main house and the bunk house were furnished so lovely and so comfortable. The dock was perfect and so glad that there were lights so that we could spend as much time as we could doing some crabbing. Did not realize how close we were to the bay and had so much fun kayaking down the St John Creek to the bay. The weather was absolutely gorgeous the entire week we were there - warm days, cool nights, low to no humidity (which is unusual for Maryland in August). We enjoyed having our meals on the screened in porch and then going for rides around the area. Shane was an awesome host and I really appreciated the fact that he checked to make sure everything was good when we arrived and also checked in the next day to make sure that we had a great first night. All the information that he had provided for things to do and places to go around the area, were so helpful. We ended up going out one night for dinner to Old Salty's and loved it! Thank you to Shane and Beth for sharing your home for us for the week. Anyone that is looking for a place to stay that is quiet, relaxing, beautiful and close to the bay, should definitely stay at Tidal Serenity!

Private and Serene
This may be our favorite VRBO we’ve ever rented, and we’ve rented a lot. This location is extremely private, peaceful, and serene. Screen porch, dock, hammock…all great for lazing with a wonderful breeze. Kayaking every day. Small frogs, Pika deer, Herons, and a Bald Eagle! Plenty of room for everyone. We had seafood from Lindy’s almost every night: Shrimp, Sea Trout, Muscles, and, of course, crabs. Day trips to Cambridge, the Harriet Tubman museum, and the Refuge. An amazing spot that we really enjoyed. Many thanks!

Enjoyed it tremendously
if you are looking for a place to unplug and unwind, this is the place. we spent hours on the dock, from eating breakfast to star gazing at night and watching the eagles and osprey throughout the day. it is a great place to be to watch the word slowly pass by.... the house is cute and clean. there was just the two of us so we didn't need the bunkhouse but would definitely consider bring the entire family on the next visit. Shane was responsive throughout the entire process, and we even got the opportunity to meet him before we headed home. Will strongly consider staying there again. the only thing that could have made it better, is if I owned the house....

Owner was great. We had a problem with the fridge in the main house. He came over from DC the next morning with a new one. Saved the stay.

Wonderfully Remote!
Gorgeous home and bunk house to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city. Everyone that we met on Taylors Island (and surrounding area) were extremely nice and very welcoming. The man that cut the grass even gave us some pointers on what to use for fishing bait. Trust us - book this home to get away and relax and touch base again with your family and pets. Our 2 labs loved the huge yard and water and you even have a place to shower them off outside! Shane and Beth were very responsive with our questions before the trip and during the trip as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Screened porch is a vacation in itself
This large creekside property provided plenty of space for our extended family vacation. Saw herons, bald eagles, red foxes, & wild turkeys. Having not previously vacationed at the Chesapeake Bay, we did not anticipate the heat, humidity, and biting insects that can occur in August, and so we really appreciated the screened in porch which looks out on the water. The creek is stunning to look at and pretty good for kayaking, but it's not really suitable for swimming due to many sea nettle jelly fish.

Family Vacation
We had a great time at Tidal Serenity. We love the outdoors!! Spent most time crabbing, fishing, kayaking and enjoying the view. The kids and pups enjoyed the large area to run and play in. Campfires at night. The kitchens are fully stocked to cook anything you want. The local farmers market is a must see. They have local produce, great pre made foods and even activities for the kids. We really enjoyed our time at Taylor’s Island!!

Great family getaway!
Our group of 15, from kids to grandparents, had a wonderful stay at Tidal Serenity! The view was gorgeous, the inside was cozy and clean, and we loved having the main house and cottage to ourselves in such a peaceful setting- felt like camp! We enjoyed the kayaks provided, as well as paddle boarding and a boat rental from the nearby marina. Shane was a friendly and responsive host and we were sad to leave!!

Perfect Easter trip
We had an amazing time just doing nothing in particular. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space, and the kids were in heaven running around, building forts in the bunkhouse, and just being kids. You can really tell how thoughtfully the home was built and decorated. We didn't end up using them at all, but there were also plenty of books, games, and TVs available. The weather was a little cold, which was perfect since we didn't have to worry about mosquitos or bugs or anything like that. So grateful for our first trip in over a year, and this was perfect. We may go again next year.
