Omg! Wow! Breakfast was wonderful and the property is beyond amazing. The trip into the city is very easy. The city is beautiful but the hotel itself i an absolute gem! Pinches self.
We were excited to stay here given it was a castle. It did not disappoint! The grounds were very nice and the place has been kept up. The room was quite spacious - we had a ‘superior double room’ but it could have been decorated nicer given the atmosphere. The bed seemed small in the room. The bathroom was quite large and nice.
Despite the description stating that the castle had a restaurant, it was not operating. The staff were helpful in finding a restaurant that was opened and had availability for us to eat dinner. They do offer a bar and light snacks (a little on the pricey side).
was wonderful ...staff very helpful staff and nice room(very clean and comfortable. If you are looking for older and historical stay, this is the place.
A unique location it is a privilege to stay in what is a historic artifact. Easy access to Orvieto and around. The draw back is that the restaurant has still not reopened since Covid.
The restaurant was closed, but we were able to enjoy snacks at the bar while all the other restaurants in town were closed. The air conditioner worked great, and it was very peaceful and pleasant place to stay. Top-notch service for sure.
The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The included breakfast was great. The location close to the hilltop town of Orvieto was excellent if you had a car.
Beautiful property just a little “tired” in places. Assume coronavirus has taken its toll with no to little income. Hope they will be able to invest soon to bring it up.
Beautiful setting for authentic stay in historic property. Wonderful service accommodating requests. We used it as perfect stopover from Rome to Tuscany, and for visiting Orvietto. Thanks for the memorable stay... we'll be back
One Night stay seeing the amazing location in the historic setting. Hotel organised a taxi to a great restaurant in Orvieto, and spent some relaxing time at the beautiful pool location. The pool itself could do with an update.
Breakfast was good and service attentive.

Beautiful property! Small winding roads lead to this magnificent castle set on the outskirts of Orvieto. Approximately 9 min drive to town, this establishment features a pool, complimentary breakfast and a full service bar on site. Rooms are slightly dated, but that only adds to the 12th century charm. Tall people beware of the vaulted ceilings.
Where else do you get to stay that has been around for over 1000 years. A bit dated but that is part of the charm. Very friendly staff with excellent service. Extremely quite and restful and minutes from the ancient city.
It is amazing what they have done with this historic property. Just beautiful. Our suite had a great view of Orvieto.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are really terrific. And the Michelin restaurant is fabulous. Not to be missed.
A beautiful property with an amazing view of the city of Orvieto. This site has rich historical significance and is close to many landmarks. The staff was friendly and accommodating in every way.
Highly recommended!
