“Labor Day Weekend”

This hotel was great. I did not really know what to expect. It has 3 pools, one of which I confirmed was heated with lots of activities close by. I stayed in a Jr Suite, which was very affordable compared to other rooms in the area for Labor Day weekend. The Suite had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms along with a full size fridge, glass top stove, and silverware. The "living room" was also nice and the suite contained 2 TV's. The staff was friendly and flexible to our needs. I would stay in this hotel again.

“Best value in Rosarito”

This hotel was just what we needed for a relaxing long weekend. This is a classic old hotel with a nice cultural feel to it. The location is right in the middle of things, but it's big enough that you can still find a secluded place to yourself. They gave us free drinks, and free dinner coupons every night! It was a limited menu, but the food was ample and tasty. Our room was clean and the water pressure and temperature was good. The staff speaks English so communication was never a problem, and our requests were handled quickly and pleasantly. There are two pools and a child's pool, but it was a bit cool for swimming. The two jacuzzis were barely warm and they never got the large one to work, so it was just a tepid bathtub. But there is a terrific spa on site that was almost empty. Prices were very reasonable (we got a two-for-one couples massage) and they don't rush you out when your session is over. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, a number of farmacias, liquor stores, and a cute outdoor "mall" full of cheap souvenirs. The main road seems improved and is a comfortable drive without the usual madness you encounter at the border. One caveat--the hotel next door is one of those circus-type hotels that caters to young people who come to town to drink beer and make noise, so on weekend nights you may be treated to loud music, screaming teenagers, and popping fireworks til 3 a.m. I wasn't bothered by it, but if you're a light sleeper, keep your balcony door closed.

“Great location, food, people, and scenery”

Great location. They greet you with margaritas. I didn't realize they have their own private beach otherwise I'd have been staying here in the past. There are many shops in the resort area so you don't have to go far away plus you are on the main strip with tons of restaurants, clubs, and shops. My fav was having the art gallery by my fav Mexican artist - David Silvah there in the grounds. Amazing! Everyone is so nice and the food in the restaurant is great. The staff even went out of their way to make sure my son - 17 months enjoyed the food and could keep himself busy doodling :-)
