Authentic Gem in Le Marche!
What a dream it was staying at Castello di Monterado! The grounds are stunning, Orlando and Keira are the most welcoming hosts and the staff is the most helpful, friendliest you can find anywhere! We stayed for 5 nights in Apartment B with our two children and we found the charming apartment to be very comfortable with plenty of space for all of us. My parents were traveling with us and stayed at in the castle which they also enjoyed immensely. The breakfast was beautiful arranged and delicious. The dinner was so superb we ended up eating there almost every evening. Lucia at the front desk was beyond amazing- she arranged everything from a truffle tour to the most fabulous driver to take us to our next location in Tuscany. We really couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay and will dream of returning again soon!

This was our first trip to Europe and I am so glad we chose the Castle. Beautiful and grand. The top floor apartment had magnificent views, and we enjoyed the sounds of the countryside every morning! Thank you for everything! 💙

Staying at Castello di Monterado was an absolutely beautiful experience. The suite we stayed in was incredible, and the hosts are extraordinary. To stay in the castle was a great experience. The property is beautiful with the manicured gardens and view of the countryside as well as the Adriatic Sea. Breakfast was wonderful as well. Could not have had a better three-night stay while exploring. Incredible history with this property and extremely well maintained.

Beautiful historic building and large rooms. Owners very helpful. Nice location and great views Major concern is that there is no restaurant which is unusual for a luxury property of comparable cost Restaurants were all a long drive away

A magical stay!
Castello Di Monterado is a magical place! So wonderful to stay in such a majestic castle with so much history. Rooms have been redone and are sleek, modern, extremely comfortable, but yet have retained the charm and character of the castle. Orlando and Kira couldn't have been more wonderful hosts. Their suggestions for daily itineraries and delicious restaurants were perfect. Breakfast was delicious and in a beautiful setting. The pool area is gorgeous! My hope is to be able to visit again. We will tell everyone we know to plan a visit here!

Paradise in the Marche
For many years I have travelled through Monterado to visit the cemetery there but had no idea about the Castello. What a find! Everything about our stay was excellent: the welcome, the accommodation (we stayed in a beautiful suite with balcony), the breakfast, the facilities, and the 360 degree views of the surrounding area are breathtaking. Spectacular!
We stayed at Castello di Monterado for 8 nights but wished we could have stayed for a month! Orlando and Kira were wonderful hosts who left nothing to chance. Everything was spectacular from the views from the pool and our rooms to the surrounding area.

A memorable place
Castello monterado was our first stop on this trip to Italy and I am so glad I chose it. It is a beautiful hotel, maintained beautifully and was such a special experience for our family. The rooms are beautiful and you literally feel immersed in history. Orlando and kiara were so friendly and helpful, I actually didn't want to leave! Would highly recommend if you enjoy being slightly off the beaten track.

Traumhaftes Ambiente in einem alten Schloss. Alles wurde aufs liebevollste und sehr geschmackvoll hergerichtet und dennoch blieb der altertümliche Charme bewahrt. Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Der Außenbereich (Garten und Pool) sind wunderschön.

Wonderful castle in stunning countryside
Just a short drive from the pretty coastal town of Senagalia and half an hour from the port of Ancona this amazing hotel sits on the top of a hill with views of stunning scenery in every direction. We stayed twice for one night each time because we wanted to break the long journey to Greece for our dog (just outside the property through a gate directly from the grounds there are shady woods, perfect for walking her). Castello di Monterado is a real family business, the owners Orlando and Kira are friendly, helpful and very hands-on, always around for questions or advice and happy to help. Breakfast is great but the ROOMS, especially the suites, have to be seen to be believed. Our first stay was in Suite Athena, complete with a mosaic floor dating back to the time of Napoleon. Our second stay was in Suite Amorini, with incredible frescoes on the walls and paintings of Romelus and Remus on the ceilings. Staying in this hotel is how I imagine it would be to stay in a private stately home. Thank you Kira and Orlando for sharing and preserving your family’s legacy with your lucky guests.

We hadden een appartement geboekt, tot onze grote verrassing bleek ons appartement een klein vrijstaand huisje in de hoek van het terrein te zijn. Hoewel de inrichting eenvoudig was was alles aanwezig. We hebben enorm genoten.

Top lokatie met een prachtig uitzicht.
We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad, met een geweldige ontvangst van Orlando en Kyra. Het appartement (tegenover het “Castello” ) is volledig ingericht met een prachtig uitzicht door 2 grote ramen in de woonkamer. Ook wasmachine en droogrek is aanwezig. Alles is heel goed verzorgd. Heerlijk ontbijt met veel vers fruit, cappuccino, vruchtendranken, bruin brood enz. Heel mooi zwembad met uitzicht op de heuvels en de zee.. Buiten het bezoeken van Urbino en prachtige kleine dorpjes in de omgeving, hebben we vooral genoten van de rust. Het was voor ons echt een “relax-verwen-vakantie”. In Monterado zelf is een goeie bakker (lekkere pizza!), restaurant (prima gegeten) , supermarkt (lieten daar broodjes met ham en kaas voor tussen de middag maken) en een barretje. We komen zeker terug!

Sehenswertes Castello in wünderschöner Lage
Sehr netter Gastgeber. Check-In & Check-Out waren völlig unproblematisch und unbürokratisch. Wir bewohnten zu viert das Appartement im 1. Stock mit Sicht auf das Castello und den Vorplatz. Das Appartement hat alles was man für einen Urlaub braucht ist nett und zweckmäßig eingerichtet und bietet ausrechend Platz. In der großzügigen Wohnküche war alles vorhanden, genug Geschirr einzig ein Geschirrspüler fehlte, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Zudem gab es im Bad auch eine Waschmaschine was wir als sehr praktisch empfanden. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für August und Italien OK, wenn man bedenkt, dass im Preis sowohl die Endreinigung als auch Bettwäsche, Handtücher und alle Nebenkosten (wie Klima, Strom, Gas) schon enthalten sind. So auch die Mitbenutzung des wunderschönen und exklusiven Poolbereichs und der sehr schönen und liebevoll angelegten Gartenanlage des Castello in Privatbesitz

En virkelig perle
Vi (2 voksne og 2 børn på 7 og 10) boede først en uge i en af lejlighederne og derefter forlængede vi med 4 dage i en af slottes suiter. Både lejligheder og suiter er fantastiske og store. Suiterne er i en liga som jeg ikke tidligere har oplevet. Poolområdet er stort og rent med flotte toiletter og kæmpe bruser (med varmt vand). Der hviler en stor ro over området - og Marche er ikke opdaget af ret mange turister uden for Italien så både pris og kvalitet er forrygende. Værtsparret der taler flot engelsk er utrolig servicemindede og imødekommende. Der er desuden en fin restaurant ved siden af slottet som serverer skøn mad med udgangspunkt i det autentiske italienske landkøkken.
