I chose Contemplacion Hotel in Valle de Guadalupe for its beautiful appearance and seemingly clean rooms. Initially, everything seemed fine, but I quickly discovered a major issue with the cleanliness of the sheets and towels. Unfortunately, we had to switch rooms late at night due to dirty linens, and the second room was no better. The staff, especially the gentleman who helped us move, was very apologetic and clearly embarrassed, which I appreciated. However, for the price we paid, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness. While the hotel itself is lovely and the service is friendly, the lack of proper hygiene was a serious letdown. I would think twice about staying here again unless they improve their cleaning practices.

I loved staying at Contemplación, it was the best relaxing spot and the views were amazing! We booked a couples massage and it was so good truly recommended! The room came with a selected breakfast included and surprisingly it was at their main restaurant which made the stay top notch because the food was amazing and super yummy!

Rooms have an amazing view. Lovely huge windows that overlook the valley. However, those windows are a double edged sword. There is a walkway that passed literally in front of the windows. People walk by looking into the rooms, makes you feel like you're an attraction at an aquarium. Bed linen, mattress. and towels felt cheap and very worn. The bed sheets came off the mattress very easily during the night. Found what looked like a tiny blood stain on one of the pillows the first night we were there. Something I find extremely annoying is ordering something from the menu and being told they don't have it. 5 different bottles of wine weren't available. I felt cheated with the price I paid.

Property is nice and well appointed, pool is gorgeous, rooms are comfortable. Location is in the middle of the Valle with very difficult roads and some drivers won't come out to that location if you request a car. We found ourselves driving a very harrowing and mud filled route to get to dinner one night. Next time we will choose a location closer to a main road.

The rooms were unique with the wonderful window and view. It was very difficult to get to my room (cabin 3) especially with luggage. The jacuzzi was useless since it was too cold. The gym could have had more varied machines.

The best thing about this place are two things, the quiet and the view. The property is a mixture of vineyard and funky fun garden with gnomes and birdhouses, with precious and healthy looking herbs like lavanda, salvia, and all kind of local plants I still don't know the place. We drove from TJ for a lovely three day stay, with a spa next door where we had one of the most wonderful massages we've had in our 60 or so year old lives. The pizza is yummy, and the scrambled eggs with veggies and hand made flour and corn tortillas are delicious! They have a chapel for weddings and the staff are all very very kind and willing to help you as much as possible. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Contemplacion and will be back with friends and family. The habitations and grounds are wonderful and the views of the valley are incredible. Even with some cold weather, the grounds offer many fireside options. The food and drinks at the restaurant, indoors and outdoors, was excellent and reasonably priced. The still new pool and jacuzzi were very nice as well with wonderful views. Like most options in the valley, the road from the highway to the hotel was a dirt road in pretty good condition that our Honda CRV more than handled. While you probably don´t want to travel on the roads afterdark without knowing the terrain, once you get to Contemplacion, there is no reason to leave in the evenings. We highly recommend Contemplacion as a reasonably priced, top end property that couples will thoroughly enjoy.

After driving 5-10 minutes on a dirt road you arrive at this lovely and quiet property on a vineyard. Our room was gorgeous and very clean, we enjoyed the hot tub with a sunset view, and also enjoyed working out in the gym. We experienced several incredible meals at the restaurant with fantastic food and service. Also, the grounds are delightful with many sitting areas, cute little paths and well-designed photo opportunities and many fire pits. There are loads of amazing wineries and restaurants nearby. We would definitely come back. We came alone and agreed that there’s not a lot for kids to do here. I’m glad we didn’t bring ours.

We loved how relaxing this area is! My initial thought when I walked into the room was how nice it smelled, unfortunately the artificial fragrance did give me a headache after a while. I also hadn’t realized that the rooms would be so far apart, I booked 2 rooms and they were on opposite ends of the property. The restraint was amazing! The food was great and everyone was very attentive.

Even Better than Advertised!
This place is a gem. It's a gorgeous "modern rustic" hotel that happens to have the widely known Salvia Blanca restaurant right on the property. The food is unbelievable. Everyone is super friendly at this hotel and accomodating. The rooms are spacious and clean and comfortable. My Wife and I both agreed that Contemplacion was the best part of everything we did and saw in the Valle de Guadalupe without a doubt.

We really enjoyed our stay..the room is super clean with local lavendar amenities, a fresh ground coffee machine, a fridge and a great view! The grounds are nice to walk with many sitting areas and the gas fire pit was lovely at night under the stars. The pool has an amazing view of the Valle..only thing , it could use a few more lounge chairs. The food and cocktails at the restaurant are on the expensive side but very unique flavors and good quality. We will definitely return.

They should make an effort to ensure that room and common areas are a bit cleaner. A little attention to details will go a long ways. There was dirty furniture in the room and the table the sits outside the room was also dirty with cigarette ashes and food. In the pool area, the glass around the pool area was so dirty you could no see through it. It was ashamed that the pool has such a beautiful view, but you could not enjoyed it because of the dirty glass.

First off the staff gives you 5 star service as soon as you arrive. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The free breakfast is delicious, they have a great dinner and lunch also.
