Comfortable and quirky with excellent staff

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Reception staff were excellent and in a good location
Cons: Better handover for my room - no one told me about the strange location of the shower so had to find myself
Location: Vatican is a stones throw away. Rome is a delight.
Very close to the Vatican and near the bus to get into central Rome, although you can also walk it. The hotel doesn't have that many rooms, mine was on the 4th floor. It was the only room on the fourth floor, but near the terrace where the breakfast is served so you do get some noise disturbance from 7.30am when breakfast starts. Well laid out room, although the shower was hidden by a cabinet so it took me a while to find it! I had an outside terrace which was lovely and black out curtains so wasn't woken by the light. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was not worth €8 - there are plenty of places to eat nearby - the food was cold and the staff were a bit standoffish. Which is a shame as the reception staff were excellent - couldn't do enough for you.

Well Located Hotel Close to Vatican

Posted Mar 18, 2015
We arrived 2 hours early, the front desk attendant was extremely friendly and told us that she was upgrading our room and that it would be available in 20 minutes. The room was clean, big king sized bed and bathroom well appointed with walk in shower. Our room did not include breakfast, however, for 8.50 euros (PER PERSON) we tried it on our second day stay. Good selection and located on roof terrace on 4th floor. We were very pleased with our overall experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Rome close to the Vatican

Prima hotel

Posted Mar 8, 2015
Pros: Modern, leuk personeel
Cons: Reinheid jacuzzi.

A short break in Rome

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: A refrigerated mini bar is most welcome. The reception & breakfast room staff were most helpful & friendly. Hair dryer fixed to wall in bathroom.
Cons: The lift is very confined
Location: The hotel is less than 500 metres from the nearest Metro and 6 stops away from the Termini rail & coach station. St Peter's and Vatican Museums nearby
My wife & I stayed in a standard double room for 4 nights in January.

overrated

Posted Jan 9, 2015
The overall stay was disappointing for a 4 star hotel. in US standard, it a motel rather than a hotel. lots of steps to even access the lobby. internet was to be purchased and it only allows single user access at a time, not to mention that it's slow and unreliable. bath soap is contained in a dispenser. air conditioning was extremely difficult to control. i can't figure out how to control it at all and ended up getting up in the middle of the night to turn it on/off. paying an extra few euro for city tax to stay in a 4 star hotel like this is certainly not the way to go.

Posted Dec 17, 2014 on Hotels.com

Strange hotel that charges you for everything

Posted Dec 15, 2014
This was a strange experience. A lot of attention to detail was taken to make things orange. Other than that, the hotel was mediocre. There is a 12 euro per person charge to use the hot tub on the roof. When we used the laundry facilities, the dryer was broken and we spent hours drying our wet clothing with a hair dryer. The room was dimly lit and amenities that are common to other hotels were not present here....in order to make it more green.
