Quick get away
We only had a few days to spend. But we enjoyed this house so much. It was perfect for what we needed. Very clean. It’s much nicer than what the pictures show. The pool was clean and heated so we could use it at night. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. I would definitely recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed.

Fabulous Venice Owner
My review is going to be about the owner. We were driving from the Chicago area to the property when I got news that my brother suddenly passed away. We had to return to Chicago to be with family. I contacted the owner who picked up immediately and explained our situation. In this terrible time for us he graciously accepted our cancellation and refunded our money. His kindness will forever be remembered and we fully intend to re book in the future at his wonderful property in Venice. God bless all who see this. Rest assured you are dealing with a true Angel VRBO owner.

Quiet Stay
The home was much larger than pictured. It would be great for a family. Everything needed was there, and the owner was just a text away. The pool surround (as pictured) was damaged during hurricanne Ian, and the owner is awaiting a new one. The lack of a surround actually gives more room to move chairs around the pool. It was a great week, with Manasota Key Beaches being a short drive away.

Nice Getaway
The combination of this VRBO’s location, pet-friendliness, and heated pool will make this an excellent choice for many small groups and families. It’s about 1.5 miles from Shamrock Park, giving you easy access to the Legacy Trail, which is great for biking, jogging, or walking. It’s not too far from Venice beaches and Brohard Paw Park, the only beach in the area that we know of that is dog-friendly. The kitchen has all of the necessities. The entire house was clean. The owner stopped by once to clean the pool, but we did not have the pleasure of meeting him. Overall it’s a very nice VRBO.

Exactly what we needed
The property was clean and comfortable. The owner Nick responded to any questions, I had promptly even before we booked. We were able to bring our fur babies which was great. Plus the location was perfect for us as we were there to celebrate Thanksgiving with family who lives around the corner. There was a cold front but the pool is heated and the water temperature was warm enough for us to take an after Thanksgiving dip in the pool.

Comfortable stay in a great area!
The home was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay of just over 2 weeks. The pool area was private, pool was clean and warm. There is a washer/dryer combo which is great for doing small loads. The neighbourhood is quiet, with lots of trees and is a habitat for a number of water birds - we loved seeing them roost in some of the ponds at night. Short drive (or long walk) to Shamrock Park. We enjoyed Browhard Park Park, Casperson Beach, Venice Beach and downtown Venice, which were all a short drive away. Grocery stores and shopping are close by, outlet shopping is 30-40 minutes away. Our host was very accessible and responded to all questions within minutes. Thanks for a great holiday!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay in Venice. We enjoyed the beaches and downtown shopping. We ate at Brew Burger, The Old Salty Dog, Dockside Grill & Crow’s Nest. All locate and great places to eat. We spent some time by the pool at the house. The pool is heated which made our swims awesome!! This vrbo is pet friendly. We brought along our dog and he loved it. Super spacious.

The heated pool was a delight as is nearby Shamrock Park for hiking or biking. I am very pleased with this listing and it’s amenities as well as communication with the owner.

Amazing house & host - one of my best vacations
First I have to say the pictures don’t make justice, the house is way more beautiful than what we see on the pictures available online. We stayed for a week. The house is conveniently near many restaurants, Aldi, Walmart, Target, Planet Fitness, a tattoo & piercing shop where my daughter had her nose pierced by a high skilled professional. We visited 6 different beaches in a short drive & left with the feeling we did not see everything the area has to offer. We love that we could bring our dog & there is a beautiful dog beach about 5 minutes away. The house itself is well taken care. The heated pool was fantastic for us, once we have kids that feel bored all the time. The pool kept them entertained every day after the beach. The kitchen and bathroom have all the necessary tools, lots of towels and linen. We drove 17 hours each way (from Missouri) & even my husband who doesn’t like to travel is willing to be back next summer.

Amazing location & loved the pool !!
My boyfriend & I stayed at Nick's place and it was perfect for us, we wanted to visit to see how we might like living near Venice FL. We worked from the house and enjoyed the pool after work !!! We brought our Golden Retriever so it's pet friendly. The dog beach was not far away for an amazing time at the beach. We highly recommend this home, Nick is super nice and his communication was great. We will be back again !!

Good location, fun vacation, but key details missing in online description
The check-in process was simple, and after driving from the airport, we were able to start our vacation with relative ease. The location is decent, and we visited the beach almost every single day, it was beautiful. There were some points that weren’t exactly ideal, though. When we first arrived, we read the welcome letter, with information and guidelines. While most were pretty standard, one bullet point was “We are on a well and septic system. The well water is not of great quality and we recommend you use bottled water for drinking.” Although not a huge deal to buy water, it was definitely an inconvenience that should be noted on the online description. Also, we reserved this before the description was changed, with the addition of a permanent tenant in a closed off, separate part of the house. We wouldn’t’ve reserved this if we had know this was the case earlier. This didn’t end up being a huge issue, but we could hear their washing machine and phone alarm go off. Also, the pillows (under the pillow cases) look like they’ve been around for quite some time. The pool was lovely to take a dip in each day, nice and refreshing. But there were definitely a lot of bugs that died and float on the surface, it might just be the area, but even with significant use of the pool skimmer net, you’ll always have a bug floating up to your face while swimming. Overall, though, this was just the housing, and our overall vacation was great, tons of fun, tons of sun!

Just an OK house
The house is as dark as shown in the pictures. It appears clean but is really in need of a thorough cleaning inside and out. It’s spacious as a 4 bedroom but it will be strange after it goes to a two bedroom with only the thin doors between you and the full time tenant. There is nothing useful for you to use to go to the beach (chairs were rusty and small. No umbrella or sand scoop to find shark teeth. No beach towels (but lots of bath towels)). The pool is fine but no comfortable adult furniture to sit around the pool. As others have stated, it’s a bit outdated and in need of a some TLC. Couldn’t use the master bedroom closet as it was being used to store a mattress and other furniture. And if you’re lucky, the owner, who lives in the area, will show up, unannounced to take out the garbage cans and maybe even come around the back, come into the screen in pool area while your obviously home to check on the pool as if he had every right to intrude on your vacation whenever he likes.

We liked truly sleeping 8 in beds with 4 doored bedrooms not fold-out couches in living areas. The house is dated, but was clean and very functional for multiple families and priced well with a pool. Close to everything in Venice as described. Would defiantly stay here again when in Venice. Nick was responsive to my questions about checking in as we arrived in the middle of the at night and could let ourselves in with a code.

Maybe want to update living room couch and recliner. Pool on the small side. Had to buy toilet paper, laundry det. Garbage bags. But overall very clean, and a great location to everything.
