Relax by the lake
Great location by ferry terminal and lakeside gardens. Our room had a balcony (too hot to use during the day as we were having a heatwave). bicycles safely stored in garage. Good wifi connection.

Lovely Hotel right beside the lake
Excellent service from the friendly staff, clean, large and comfortable room with a balcony looking over the lake as per my request. Superb value and highly recommended - we'll be back!

Hotel at lake Maggiore
Hotel Belvedere is hosting actually three different hotels in the same block and we stayed in Hotel Pallanza although having booked to Belvedere. All three buildings are just next to each other. Pallanza was a historical hotel with historical amenities and athmosphere. The room was big and had everything you need. Modern in terms of everyday life. Hotel was clean and the personnel very helpful. Breakfast was not worth of the money. Check the around the corner Osteria dell Angolo di Lamagni. Excellent food and cousy.

Superb service
A lovely hotel and location. The hotel could not be more helpful. We visited in low season february and had some difficulty getting to the remote location from the airport, however on the way back travel was easy via the alibus service that the hotel booked. I would recommend this as the way to get to the hotel, its much cheaper and comfortable but note that is must be booked 24 hours in advance. Lots of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance and a good view of the lake with excellent access to the ferrys right outside. Definately will be back, this time in the summer!!

Room with balcony facing Lake Maggiore. Bathroom had a particular "smell", but again, very old buildings, well kept. Could just be the ancient drainage. A/C could be a little more efficient.

Très beau séjour
Séjour très agréable. Belle ville de Pallanza. Très pratique pour visiter les iles Borromées.Depart du ferry en face.Petit dejeuner copieux et varié. Personnel très serviable et parle français.

Worn and tired hotel - kitchen smell in the room
Overall the hotel was a little worn. Our room was rather large, but very dark. It only had smaller windows, all facing the neighboring building which was only 2 mtr away, why no light reached the room. The decor was old and “tired” and our room was on top of the kitchen, which clearly could be smelled. And finally the aircon was quite noisy.

Un merveilleux séjour au bord du lac Majeur
Séjour(5jours) tres agreable et confortable.Paysages et petites villes au bord du lac Majeur remarquables. Hotel Belvedere juste en face de l'embarcadère pour les iles borromées, quartier calme avec pelouses et jardin sur le front de lac.... Personnel de l'hotel tres sympathique parlant et comprenant parfaitement le français.Petit déjeuner excellent et tres varié, de même que le menu du restaurant à prix correct. Grande chambre avec balcon donnant sur le lac et belle salle de bain. Cependant, 2 petites critiques: -Impossible de regarder TV5 (langue française): image et son brouillés et instables. Probleme de reception? -Le diametre des prises électriques murales n'acceptent pas le diametre plus gros des prises d'alimentation avec terre pour la recharge de PC portable...sauf dans la salle de bain. Mais je recommande vivement cet hotel: Nous y étions déja venus en 2014 et nous y reviendrons...

Hyvän kokoinen huone, hyvä sänky, rauhallinen sijainti (ainakin näin off seasonina). Hyvä aamiainen, ystävällinen henkilökunta. Miinusta siitä että ilmastointi ei toiminut ennen kuin itse pyydettiin ja kylppärin lavuaari veti huonosti ja lakkasi lopulta vetämästä kokonaan.

L'hôtel n'est pas un 4 étoiles. Pour 160 euros la nuit je m'attendais à mieux. La chambre très mal insonorisée nous a fait passer la nuit avec les voisins de la chambre voisine qui ne faisaient pas plus de bruit que la normale, de plus la chambre est vieillotte et l'équipement peu fourni. Heureusement que l'amabilité du personnel et la vue lac remonte le niveau.

Prima di dare le 4 stelle ad alberghi come questo bello sarebbe dormirci di persona! Non ho chiuso occhio dal cattivo odore persistente anche nelle lenzuola . Ho fatto presente il fatto al personale molto gentile e me ne sono andata. Mi spiace veramente scrivere questa recensione, ma sono coerente con quanto realmente accaduto. In occasione delle Lago Maggiore Marathon
Consigliato! Le uniche osservazioni da fare sono al riguardo della colazione al mattino dove in occasione della presnza dei maratoneti il buffet è andato completamente in tilt mancando di tutto e poi il fatto che per poterci fare la doccia dopo la gara hanno preteso un extratime di 20 euro per avere la camera fino alle 14.30. In moltrissimi altri alberghi, soprattutto all'estero (sigh), ti lasciano la camera senza problemi.

Verbania war kein besonders interessanter Ort. Die Gärten der berühmten Villa haben wir wegen Überfülle an Touristen nicht besichtigt, ebenso die zwei bezahlbaren (24€ pro Person) Inseln. Wer sich mit den tausenden Touristen durch die paar wenigen engen Gassen der wenige qm-großen und nicht bezahlbaren Fischerinsel schieben möchte, viel Spaß! Aber es lohnen sich Ausflüge in die ruhigeren Seitentäler, z.B. Valle Cannobina oder an den nahe gelegenen Lago d'Orta. Allgemein ist die enge Straße um den See unglaublich verkehrsreich, einschließlich Radfahrern. Alle bekannten Orte sind einfach touristisch zu überlaufen. Die Lage ist natürlich sensationell, nur man findet kaum Möglichkeiten zum Anhalten, um dann entsprechende Fotos zu machen.
