The room was a bit small, and the hot water was only warm. But, overall, it was a nice place! The staff was also pleasant and very helpful. They do shut the place down at 7pm. But, it may be the time of year, Feb. When i was there. But, it's easy to get in and out. It's a very safe place and several dinning options near by. Overall, i highy recommend this hotel.

We booked the flight and got the hotel stay insurance as recommended by Expedia. In mid-May we discovered we could not get airline tickets for our June trip. Simply no flights available. So we canceled all of our hotels except this one would not cancel/refund. Even though they knew our group of six could not get there. We communicated with them ahead of time.Our simple insurance claim on this one hotel stay has now been pending for over three months! Hotel won't refund the group and neither will Expedia, which says to contact the travel insurance company they recommended. That company (AIG/AON) continues to put our claim off further. We hope to return to Italy in 2021, but these things I know for sure: 1) we will not stay at Hotel Opera and 2) we will not use Expedia to book it or use their travel insurance.

Dear Mr David, we are so surprised to read that from your group, because we agree for a TOTAL FREE CANCELLATION at the same day you ask for it. Do you remember that we wrote to you (BEFORE YOUR CANCELLATION) to know what plans do you have due to coronavirus? Just for your information, we had cancelled ALL THE RESERVATION FOR 4 MONTHS FOR FREE. For that reason we didn't charge any of Expedia's credit card, for your reservation. A reasonably priced option near the airport
The hotel is very conveniently located for the airport and has free parking. The rooms are clean and pleasant. The service was very good - I was offered a take-away breakfast before I went to bed because I had to leave before breakfast was served. The only issue with staying here is the limited opening hours for reception which closes at 10pm. This can be an issue if you’re arriving late on a flight. And when reception is closed, there is no direct access to the car park - you need to walk out into the street and access the car park with a key code through the main gate. This was a hassle with baggage. One other minor point was that the shower head was broken but usable. It was odd that such a cheap repair hasn’t been completed.

The yeller hotel
Since my first review was deleted.. here it is again. The staff is rude, they do not make you feel welcome. You are NOT allowed to use the dining tables in their bar, they make you take you food back to your room to eat it, and the rooms are small. Check-in was rough. The woman there is rude and is easily flustered. The parking lot is smaller than my driveway at home and since they have a bar open to the public there, if you come before 9pm there is no where to park, and no where in the street either. This was THE ONLY hotel in all of Italy that would not allow me to register with one passport, she insisted on having both passports. My husband couldn't leave the car because there was no parking and I had to send someone to get his passport before she would continue. The wifi did not work well, it was very slow and this is a tiny hotel. The rooms are redone nicely and are spotless, but amenities are few and the beds are not comfortable. AC is either freezing or non existent. I would not stay here again. You are on a VERY busy road and not much going on around there.

Dear Guest, I apologise for all the inconveniences that you had to go through and I try to explain myself a little bit better because I think there some misunderstandings. I am really sorry if I seemed or sounded flustered to you, but I am really passionate about my job and I try to do the best I can with the budget I have got, but it wasn't my intention to upset you or anything. Unfortunately I don't have a restaurant inside the hotel, as without the licence, I would get fined by law if I do otherwise. I do have a little bar with snacks, so I don't normally allow customers to bring their own food and eat on the tables, but I have never came across this situation before, as all the pizza places and restaurants around have tables where you sit down and enjoy the food. Regarding the wi-fi, it always worked well, but as I mentioned before, it's good to have this feedback so I can look into it properly. Bedding and frames are what I could have got for the budget, but I haven't had this problem before, but again I will see what I can do to make it more comfortable. Regarding the park unfortunately I don't have much space and when the bar is full I don't have much space left, that's the reason why we close the bar the latest at 9 so then I have the parking for the guests, which is the most important thing. Regarding the firt review maybe you can't see it because was a real-time Feedback and they appear in a different section. Nobody can delete a review, all the websites are very careful about that, but will be a pleasure for me to try to understand the reason why you can't see it. nice place.
Clean and tidy. Bed was quite hard but very large. Only one pillow each. We could have asked for more it was a bit late at night when we realised. Breakfast was very good for a continental in a really quaint setting. Good pizzeria next door which we used after 10.30 pm and still got welcomed. Secure parking.

Modern hotel with friendly staff.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It is approx15 mins drive from Verona. It is clean comfortable and modern. There is a lift to all floors. The owner speaks English well and the rest of the staff basic words. All the staff are friendly and very helpful . Nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is included in the price and is served downstairs in the basement. This is the only thing we didn't like as there are no windows .,,which makes it rather dark. However on request we think it might be possible to have breakfast in the bar upstairs..or on the terrace outside. The breakfast is very good. Each table is set up with its own tray of rolls, jam , cakes. a selection of fresh fruit ...ham and cheese...yogurts...fruit juice ...tea and coffee. Meals are not served at this hotel ..only bar snacks. The wine is excellent as the owner has her own vineyard ! We recommend this hotel for its friendly service and good value. We would definitely stay here again !

Great hotel on outskirts of Verona. On bus route 158, although not a frequent service stops close to hotel. Modern clean rooms and comfortable bed. Couldn't ask more for the price. Very good value.

It was wonderful! The room is small, but beautifully decorated, the bathroom is amazing and it has air conditioning that you control. Breakfast was a feast and served to you. Would stay again.

Good location as a base for visiting the Veneto
The hotel was easy to find, an old building that has been gutted to provide modern, fairly minimalist accommodation. There is a small safe in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the continental breakfasts were good. There is a small bar/cafe area, well used by locals in the early mornings and evenings. There is a very friendly pizzeria/restaurant next door; always well patronised, with a good menu and usually fairly noisy. For something a little more formal and with a more limited but excellently cooked menu there is a restaurant two minutes walk away towards Verona. There is a kebab shop, if that is your preference, but we did not patronise it as well as other small pizzeria. There are no ordinary shops in the village centre (but ATMs) but a supermarket five minutes away towards Mantova.

When we arrived the lady at the deskmwas very nice, and spoke french with us being from Montreal we really appreciated, she gave us a quick tour of the facilities and same for the staff for breakfast, very nice, hotel has affordable prices compare to a lot of hotels in Veronna, approx 10 minutes from city center, nice restaurant next door who has great food, and accross the street a place were you can wash your clothes including soap, quiet area despite the room located on the street side.

Probably the friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in. It was a little way out of town but made up for that in many ways including a wonderful breakfast and free wi-fi. They also told us of other areas to visit rather then going back downtown. We would highly recommend the hotel.

This hotel is 7.5 km from Verona center. If you have a car to get there or do not mind bus or train (operating until about 9 pm) that's the place to be. Modern hotel, clean and comfortable rooms, free Internet, good breakfast. Everything works there.

Except location- perfect!
Very close to the airport, (10 Euros by taxi) but quiet far a way from Verona, (24 Euros taxi), and transportation ends between 19.30-21.00. Except for that - very good hotel. Modest but decent breakfast and very warm and helpfull service. If you don't mind the distance from Verona - go for it!

We only stated one night at the hotel Opera on a business trip and arrived late. The owner greeted us and made us feel very welcome. Our room was perfect & extremely clean and comfortable. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant there is a fantastic pizzeria just minutes along the road and we had a divine pizza and pasta dinner there. Very impressed with breakfast, special little touches like providing a news sheet in your language just made the whole experience very pleasant. Would definitely stay here again!!

Located only a couple of minutes from Verona airport, this is a great find as very clean and the owner couldn't have done more to make us welcome, whipping up some food for our toddler and us, outside of normal dining hours. The only reason I gave this slightly less than 5 out of 5 was that it is a few kilometres (maybe 10km) out of Verona and although there are cheapish bus or train options for getting into town, a taxi does cost about 25 Euros if you come back later than 9.30pm. Also the aircon in the room was not terribly efficient so we were a little warm, but overall a very good find and would be very happy to recommend

This little hotel was totally amazing!
This is a very well run, family owned and operated, modern little hotel. We stayed the night before our flight out of Verona the next morning. The hotel is a 3-4 minute taxi ride to/from the airport and a 5-10 minute direct walk from the nearest train station, in a quiet working-class suburb of Verona. The owners (Johnny and his wife) run the place themselves and do an amazing job. Johnny speaks english very well (which was a great comfort to us, not speaking much Italian). The facilities are absolutely TOP-NOTCH. The entire hotel is very modern and well equipped. It looks as though they probably just renovated with an amazing architect and interior designer. The room we stayed in had huge exposed wood beam ceilings and was very quiet. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer than we did! The restaurant next door looked as though it probably had some amazing home-made food. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
