Amazing property! Huge wrap around lanai, with dining area and gathering spaces, big windows tons of light, cozy interior, well stocked games and entertainment closet, extremely comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen- stocked with cooking tools and serveware…modern lighting, wood stove, felt safe, the list goes on! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Peaceful getaway
We really enjoyed our stay in your quiet little jungle home. Perfect location for exploring the volcanoes and not too far from Hilo. The only suggestion we would have is to be able to have bins that you can place recyclables, cans, bottles, etc.

Perfect Home for Volcanos Trip
Such a beautiful home. Great location. Well equipped. It was so relaxing to get a fire roaring at night and enjoy a glass of wine after the kids went to sleep. Would book this home every time we visit Volcanoes National Park.

Lovely!
Very cute place in the rain forest! Bring your own oil and any spices you need. There were a few spices only, probably left by guests. A great grill. And wonderful bidet!

This home was very clean. It was comfortable and nice. Location is good, private, quiet. It got cold in the morning. No heat or A/C. The fireplace would have been nice but when we arrived no fire starter or kindling. Only full size logs. We noticed that at 6:30am our first morning, when we were cold and wanted a fire. They dropped off the supplies on the porch that night at 9:30pm. Not very prompt.

Convenient Park Access
Quick drive to park entrance. Quiet, private setting. Comfortable and well-appointed! Rained our entire stay in Volcano, but inside was cozy, and wood-burning stove was much appreciated. Would stay again!

Could not ask for anything more!
Easily the coolest vacation rental we have stayed at. Exceeded our expectations in all aspects. The place was super clean and had a warm feel inside and out. The fireplace is magical and makes the house nice and toasty. We would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you for making our Volcano stay better than we could have imagined!!

Great Place for Volcano
They truly considered every detail in the rental for what you would need for your stay. I'd definitely choose to stay here again, and the bidet was a particularly nice feature to have.

Great as always
Stayed here 3 times. First time with this manager. We love so much about it! Close to everything, private. ( not too quiet but the manager cannot control that). Great temperature, deep deep tub, huge tv, relaxing sofa, super mattresses. We could go on and on. We love this house!

Birthday/Anniversary Vacation
Such a great house, perfect for visiting Volcanoes National Park, Keaau, Pahoa and Hilo. We were here for 5 nights, which is a good, long time. Very secluded and jungle-y feel, the house was extremely cozy and welcoming after long and full days. But one day my mother in law stayed in while the rest of us went out, and she was extremely happy. Would highly recommend.

A Perfect Stay!
This house was EXACTLY what we were looking for and needed. The location was great for our trip to Volcanoes National Park and Mauna Kea. We also took day trips to some other locations. While the house was more of a place to rest and relax and we spent more time away from the house than in it, the house fit our needs perfectly. Peaceful, clean, very comfortable sleeping arrangements, and a great DVD selection!

Perfect Volcano Getaway
This place exceeded our expectations in every way! Cozy and charming!
We loved this place! It was even better than the listing. Quiet neighborhood, close to the national park, and short drive to Hilo for supplies. It was tucked away in a beautiful, enchanting cloud forest, surrounded by tree ferns and tropical plants. The home was spotless, comfortable, and well stocked. We loved the decor- felt like home, with personalized touches and mementos. Spacious, but still cozy. We loved all the different lanais. The beds were great. My husband has a bad back and he liked the mattress better than ours at home (what kind is it?)! I hope we can return some day!!

Amazing oasis!
My wife, 10 year old daughter, and I stayed at the Hale Mauka for two nights and we loved it! The property is very clean, and the amenities like dishwasher and washer/dryer are incredibly clutch. We used this property as a jumping off point to explore Kilauea and you couldn’t get any closer with these amenities than this. Also, with a full kitchen and screened in porch dining room, we ate dinner in what felt like the middle of the jungle for two nights. Very cool! Pros: location, cleanliness, big soft beds, amenities Cons: none!

Rain forest next to Volcano National Park
Great location for visiting Volcano National Park. I’m very glad we stayed for 3 night so that we could explore the area and do some hiking. This is maybe our favorite vacation rental ever. Close to the park but felt very secluded. House had everything you could need and more.

Spacious Forest Cabin
This cabin feels roomy for a small family, and has character and style. The decor is cool and tasteful, the spaces made me wish we had a longer stay. There was enough room for us to each have some restful time to ourselves, but a lot of little spots to spend time together, too. We were hiking around Volcano NP almost the whole time we were here, but it was really great to come back to the house at the end of a long day. My daughter loved exploring around the house, and had a lot of cool things to show me outside. There was a real sense of privacy while also feeling open to the woods. This place is great, and we hope we’ll be able to return someday!

Perfect stay for exploring Volcano

Better than expected.
Great location for more time spent near Volcano & Village. All 4 guests were more than pleased with the property. Property managers went beyond the call of duty with a special request to make the stay special and memorable. Only recommendation is that "half bath" description is a stretch. Toilet shared mud room and was open (louvered pocket door and opening at ceiling above door) to the kitchen. Suggest adding a vent fan to exterior and closing opening at ceiling with glass or glass block. "Super" full bath (including separate shower & soaking tub plus high-end toilet) made up for it.

Paradise in paradise
Private and comfortable this charming house is in the perfect location to visit the Volcano national park. Great beds, well-equipped kitchen, we had everything we needed. Absolutely loved our stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a super clean and cozy place to relax.

Lovely home in Volcano
Communicating with both Shawna and Sabrina were very responsive and pleasant. I arrived in the evening so it was nice to see that the lanai lights and house lights were left on especially while walking up the short flight of stairs with my luggage. I liked that there was a bottle of hand sanitizer on a table outside the front door. The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. I loved the bathroom with deep bathtub and bidet. The beds were clean and comfy. The dining table on the enclosed patio area was lovely. I loved sitting on the front lanai listening to the birds in the morning and not having to deal with mosquitoes. I would most definitely return! Mahalo!

BOOK THIS!!
The house was everything we wanted and more. 5 Minutes from volcanoes National park. Everything was modern and clean and everyone had more than enough room. We actually had my infant son on the trip and we didn’t really have to baby proof anything, just moved a couple things into a room with a door. It was the perfect stay. There were flashlights and binoculars available, board games, a wide variety of movies, And our property manager Shawna was always available for communication. The welcome book was also very informative. I highly highly recommend this place. 10/10.

Hale Mauka in the Clouds
Very well appointed, clean, spacious, great enclosed lanai dining with adjoining gas grill which we enjoyed. Beautiful lush ohia and hapu forest surrounding the home and well kept. Not too many Coquis! LOL. Only thing is the driveway entrance is quite narrow and could use a little more wiggle room to turn your car around out front. Overall, we totally enjoyed the quiet life.

A Wonderful Home in Volcano
We absolutely loved our time here. In our three weeks in Hawaii, this home was the most spacious, and we were spoiled by it. Huge, comfortable beds, a stocked kitchen, plenty of room to spread out, a laundry room, and a cute porch to watch the chickens, roosters, pheasants and more. We fell asleep to the sounds of the frogs, and woke up each morning refreshed. This home is so close to Volcano National, letting us even wake up at 330am and be at the crater to watch the lava lake by 4am. Absolutely a wonderful stay with tons of communication and checking from the property manager. Highly recommended.

Lovely, comfortable cloud forest house
My family of four (me, partner, 14 year old, 9 year old) stayed here for 3 nights while we explored Volcanoes National Park. It was just what we wanted. The house is a 4 minute drive to the park entrance. Full kitchen so we could make ourselves breakfast and snacks (important because the choices in the community of Volcano are limited). Two bedrooms with comfy beds, plus a blow-up mattress so my kids didn't have to share a bed. Amazing jungle sounds, very peaceful. Huge screen for chilling during down time. There was an issue with the house's water pump that the property managers worked hard to get fixed in just a few hours. If it had been cooler we would have used the wood stove. It was the perfect place to base ourselves for park exploration. It would even be good to base yourself for exploring other parts of the island if you don't mind driving 45 or more minutes to get other places. Loved it!

Ideal Location in Volcano, Sweet Welcoming Property for 4
Location: Great location, suited for morning walks/run, close to volcano park entrance (allows you to go several times if interested in sunset/night time hike for the lava viewing), note that there are not many restaurants near by ) - thai place was good, and we highly recommend tuk tuk food truck ! Host/Property Manager: very responsive, great communication and did immediate resolution of a dynamic problem with the cleaners crew. made sure that it was completed. Property: ideal property for a family of 4. Very warm setup, With a very nice Deck - ideal for sipping morning Tea and for Night time relaxed conversations. Note : we didn't see 2nd bathroom (it had 1.5 bathrooms). Would definitely stay again.

Great home!
This was a great home! It was beautiful and clearly there was attention to detail. The property was interesting and made us feel secluded, although it was only 6 mins from the park.

Beautiful home, great location.
We were very happy to find such a lovely property with such a close proximity to Volcanoes National Park. Super easy into and out of the park without the long drive from Hilo or Kona. Felt private and secluded, even though we were in the middle of a neighborhood. The rooms were big and comfortable and the host made us feel at home. Highly recommended!

This is the place to stay if you are visiting Volcanoes National Park. the house itself is in a quiet and peaceful setting. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai after a long day of hiking. Everything worked as it should. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful place—a true gem
This rental was everything we hoped for. The location was lush and beautiful, and we felt perfectly nestled away within the trees and flowers. The house was clean, comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. The WiFi worked well for the occasional business check-ins or urgent teen daughter friend check-ins. :) We’ve already recommended the house to friends for future trips. Thank you!
