Proximity to relatives, hot pool , good facilities and soo quiet. Didn' t like that visitors had to pay to use pool. and more clarity round when the gate close at night would be good too.

HI and thanks for the review. Ofcourse visitors have to pay for the pool as our pool is just for the paying and staying guests only. The hot pools next door to us are the public pools for non paying staying people i.e the public. I can assure you that majority of our guests love the fact the public cant come in here and swim for free and over load our pool when they pay good money to be here and have it all to themselves. I will make sure the office staff are still telling ALL our guests the gate closure times, thanks heaps for the review, have a great day!

Loved the hot pool. Room nice and clean. Stayed in a chalet. A little cramped. Tv was analogue and very staticy. Overall, very nice stay.

I was a bit disappointed with my one bedroom unit. Very dated, hot water pressure was very low, the soap dispenser in the shower didn’t work and the bed was boney. It really needs to be updated! The holiday park on a whole is delightful with a great range of activities for the young and not so young and the hot pool is fantastic! Lovely people run the holiday park and they are very bright and chatty and go out of their way to see you have all you need.

2 very hot nights
We stayed in this location first time in 2001, but were really surprised that nothing has changed in the last 18 years. The unit was clean, but the bathroom pretty small and a fixed mounted shower head is really no that great for someone a bit taller. The queen size bed was more a larger single bed, not too much space and the lack of air condition made it an very uncomfortable night. With a lot of midges there was no option to open the windows as there are no fly screens, so the only cooling came from a noisy ceiling fan. We never looked more forward to our own bed! The kitchen was clean and had everything that was required, the hot pool is still great to relax and the adults only evening was good for us. So still a great location and camping ground, but the units are certainly not good for us. Certainly not really value for money.

We stayed in one of their cabins and the bunk beds made it great with the kids. Everything was clean and the staff was super friendly. Really nice pool and lots to do for the kids. Would definitely come back

Weekend dip
Weekend last minute trip. The cabin was clean and comfy and could have accommodated our kids. Instead we soaked in the pool until late, before bed. Lovely.

Falsely advertised and therefore overpriced. I understood it was pet friendly, but that is only for campsites which are located at the entrance with traffic constantly going by, and pets aren't allowed in the camp. So essentially your pet would be tethered the entire time of your stay. I purchased a dormitory room though, and pets weren't welcome there so we could not use any of the facilities. We were provided bedding but no towels. The "free wifi" lasted 20 minutes and needed to be purchased after that. I understood every room had kitchenette, but no.

We came to swim at the hot pools but didn’t make it there as the motels pool was enough along with the free activities provided such as pétanque, table tennis & mini put. A comfortable sleep. Thanks ladies

Communication was poor as we booked online to stay when we arrived our booking was not on the day we booked as we changed days. I had previously rung and organised the change of day and was told all is ok. Once that was all sorted and we had arrived and settled in we were then approached by staff that our card had declined. We then checked the card number it was not our card number we pleaded numerous times that it was not our card and showed staff our card and number. We had emails confirming our booking and payment showed to the staff as well but just didn't seem to put two and two together definitely will not stay here again or recommend to family and friends what a pity such a wonderful place with heaps of potential

We had to take a bunk room as the cabins were booked out (the super helpful office staff actually rang those booked in just in case there was a cancellation prospect). Though a bunk room isn.t a cabin we were surprised how clean it was and that also went for the shower block.

Miranda holiday park is a pretty nice place for campervan, leisure relaxing holidaying stay to be fair. It has a nice hot mineral pool to soak yourself in. I was on business stay, not much time to explore the surrounding which is quite tranquil, relaxing I would say. Being in nature, however, will have to deal w lots of crickets which will sneak into the apartment at night thru the windows which can b a bit disturbing in middle of night. If not for that, the overall stay would be nice.

Family camping location with good facilities
When I booked I had not realised that this was essentially a camping site offering everything from back packing dormitories to small chalets as well as caravan and camper-van plots. I booked a room and was surprised to be allocated a five bed dormitory room. Fortunately reception provided bedding and as I was on my own I found it was very comfortable. The central ablutions block was also a surprise but it was very clean with plenty of showers and other washing facilities. The central kitchens had plenty of communal use equipment and the small shop in reception provided enough to keep me going. The small restaurant at an adjacent natural thermal heated pool /spa served an excellent and very reasonably priced meal.

Still a great place to stay
Had a fantastic stay here at Miranda Holiday Park. We stayed in a bunk room which was really comfy and quiet, facilities clean and tidy and the pool was lovely. Just as good as the first time we came here seven years ago, would stay here more often if it wasn’t so far to travel from the UK.

False Advertising
I booked online expecting a chalet as in the picture for $100 per night. Arrived to find we had a tiny bunk room, no bed linen, a fridge but no toilet,shower etc. When I questioned staff they agreed it was false advertising. I was offered the expected chalet for another $54, then told the total was $164! I finally paid $154 but felt no responsibility was shown by Miranda. No, we won't be staying there again.

Great stay - loved the hot pools. Quiet and well presented. As a couple it probably have been better to avoid the school holidays as there were lots of kids in the pool so was a bit noisy.

We had a lovely stay....We had booked online, but was not told of the special that was happening that Month. The brilliant staff helped us out, and we were able to have the special. Wow! Fantastic. That was the highlight of our Holiday, Just knowing there are people that actually help you out, and its not always about the money.....

The front desk lady seemed a bit confused regarding our booking on arrival (did we book a site?, no a studio under the name given). Lovely and comfortable accommodation which we will book again when visiting friends in the area. Sadly, Wifi seemed to be single use despite three night stay, and servicing (replacement towels, tea and coffee etc.) was only done if we were present, and they did not seem prepare for us to want it done each day. Despite our repeat stay (to see friends farming locally), we still wonder why we and others chose to stay here.

Pool was small compared to photos. Lots of screaming kids. Liked the fact they had adults only time in hot pool from 8pm till 10pm. Soft background Music would be nice in the pool area. Suits family lies with kids more than couples looking to relax.

Peace and tranquility plus! Sure, it's a popular and well-utilised commodity now, so one must see past the fun-family-ruckus that is a vacation for the record books :-) Environmental awareness (recycling & minimal resource consumption) only adds to the flavour! Fun activities for our littlies, and for those struggling 'tweeners Miranda Holiday Park have balloon-tyred pedal carts to skoot around on. From dorm-type rooms with shared facilities, to chalets and studios for larger parties. Accommodation is very apt: inviting and relaxing, for the boaties and bird watchers alike, and those seeking to just wallow their time away in the lusciously melting mineral therapy pool. An on-site tennis court and a public pool next door, are also available for those wanting to jump and shout a bit more!! The lovely ladies who keep our spirits up and our rooms well tended to only add to the magic. Only in New Zealand! x

In the middle of nowhere
Booked as a (late) reduced double room. With the price it was and with the price we paid both were totally overcharged. We have travelled a lot and prices are usually fair, well not this one. It was when we arrived a 5 beds bare bunk room. No covers, no towels, no toilet and no bathroom. I'm my husband's carer and had not expected it this bad. The showers and toilet were on the camping grounds. No mention of that when I booked. We were late and around the corner was sort of a eating/cafe place. They were closed but the very nice people were still there cleaning when I told them that we had not eaten yet . They gave us the option that the fryer was still on and we could get the fish and chips, we bought that and it was great. With the bottle of wine we still had in the car we drank every time a sip out of the bottle BECAUSE there was no crockery or cutlery in that room BARE AS I SAID.

Nice motor & cabin camp in the middle of nowhere
I spent only one night on my way to Auckland, and was sitting in a hot mineral pool most of my stay. My room was a cabin with 4 two-story beds and a small fridge, +AC. No blankets were in the room, just beds with pillows and bed sheets. It's a nice place to get away from the world, but typical places usually cost 1/2 the price in the world.
