Not too far to walk from stationPosted Dec 19, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: Free wifi in rooms would be good.
Location: Have already mentioned, but ideal for shops as well.
Caught ferry from South Island and then shuttle to station. It was a 2 minute walk to the IBIS. So ideal of you haven't a car. Room comfortable usual hotel format. Close to walk to bars cafés on harbour side including a Wagamamas. Reasonable breakfast. A bacon but ty for $5, good value. Would definitely stay again

A central place to stay.Posted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: Its location.
Cons: Nothing really. Very clean and tidy.
Location: Its a nice stroll into the shopping centre, cafes, and also to the waterfront and Te Papa.
The Ibis is located in the centre of the city, and in walking distance to a lot of shops/cafes/restaurants. It was a quick trip to Wellington, but we seem to stay here as we know its good location. Also, we can park underneath, very secure. We feel the price of the car park is rather steep, but convenient.

Fulfilled its purposePosted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: Central location. Close to Vector.
Location: Good location, right in the city
The hotel was centrally located in Wellington, meaning you could get to most places on foot. The room although had 2 double beds, wasn't overly big, so would suggest someone with a huge amount of luggage might find the rooms a bit of a squeeze. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Close to workPosted Nov 9, 2014
Pros: Bed very comfortable
Cons: Not so noisy
Location: Close to local drinking establishments with fine wines and food and nice walk to wharf
On same floor as laundry, that seemed to go all night and next door to staff area, therefore too noisy

Great location, good valuePosted Nov 3, 2014
The Ibis is in a great central location and a lot cheaper than other hotels in this area . Having 2 double beds in the room was a bonus- much better than the small singles you usually get in a twin room. The bathroom was also bigger than in other Ibis hotels I have stayed in. Simple furnishings but that is what you expect with this chain and for the price. Make sure you book car parking as there are only a few available- $25 was a little steep.

A very pleasant stay, I would stay again. I enjoyed walking around the area, particular the wharfs.
