This was a great place to stay. Views from the property are expansive and lovely. Property is clean and comfortable. Hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The specific directions of how to get there were accurate and appreciated. Thank you to A Castle View B and B.

A very charming, peaceful and immaculate B&B. The room offered a beautiful view of castle ruins and the bay with a private outdoor terrace. Marie was so thoughtful and made sure we were dry and comfortable having arrived in the rain on a motorcycle. Would have loved to stay longer had our trip allowed. Thank you to all who made the experience at Castle View a luxurious one.

The hosts were great. They greeted us and made us feel welcome. Everything was clean and well organized. Breakfast was excellent. Ample parking. We certainly recommend them. Not far from John O Groats. About a 13 minute drive. 9 miles.

Conveniently located for Wick and John O’Groats and 15 minutes to the ferry for Orkney. Modern property with good size room and small lounge area.

Perfect stop-over before Orkney Islands
This was the perfect place for us to stay before taking the ferry from John O'Groats the next morning for our Orkney Islands tour. We arrived quite late (since we had to drive up from Inverness) but the B&B host was still very kind and accommodating. She showed us to our room, which had a patio with spectacular views of the sea and castle. I recommend trying to arrive before nightfall, otherwise you miss out on the beautiful scenery and it can be a bit disorienting finding the building in the dark.

One of the best B&B around, loved how you have your own patio doors leading out to the garden & beautiful views of the sea. Great breakfast and friendly host, s as no the cutest wee dog I’ve ever seen 😊

This property was beautiful, the owner Obviously put some money into it. Although back always from the road, it was well marked and not hard the find. There are beautiful views of the ocean and the ruined castle. The owner was very kind and friendly. Would strongly recommend.

Nice friendly B&B
Friendly and a nice place to stay. Nice and modern, they serve a great breakfast. My only downside was the Wi-Fi was weak but that’s a minor problem. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Lovely location! Easy to find off main road north. I ordered the full Scottish breakfast and it was delicious! The black pudding tastes like meatloaf!

Easy to find as sat nav had no issues, but signs on road too. Room was lovely, 2 x comfy beds and a nice lounge setup inc sofa and tv. Had a good nights sleep and breakfast the day was superb! Thank you to Maree and Christine for being excellent hosts

I was greated by Marie, She was wonderful and very helpful, she explained everything and was available for questions. The room was very clean with an amazing view of the cows and pasture and ocean in the distant. Marie made a delicious breakfast of scrambeled eggs and salmon for me. There were juices, teas and much more to choose from. I had nice converstions with other travels who were having breakfast. We compapred travel plans and they even gave me great tips of where to visit. I would certainly stay here again!

Great location but ask for a big room.
We enjoyed our stay but have a couple of small niggles which resulted in my honest assessment. First was the sign in the room stating we do not do laundry and giving a fines list for misuse of towels and smoking. Better would be a note saying " Sorry, we don't have laundry facilities but there is a 24 hour laundry in Wick. Then, if necessary state that misuse of towels or smoking in the room will result in action against the culprits. Finally, room 3 which we were given is very small. There is no room for our bags or to move about. We booked several months ago and saw other rooms which were huge. We even asked to move rooms but we're told that was impossible despite people leaving daily. Breakfast was excellent.

Lovely location with a stunning view of the sea and castle. Comfortable room and ved. Good facilities. Host was extremely amenable and friendly. Nothing too much bother. Good breakfast. Will definitely be back and reccomend.

This place has an amazing view and an absolutely lovely owner and great breakfast! The room was a bit small and it was a tad odd that the bathroom was open to the rest of the room- the toilet had its own room but the shower was kind of out in the open. The linens could have been a little cleaner but overall, this was a great place and covid rules were followed. we had a lovely evening and morning staying there.

Reasonable price & good location but not exciting
We stayed in the family room so the cost split between four made it very affordable and the location was convenient. That said, the accommodation and the breakfast was fairly basic and not noteworthy so don’t expect anything too exciting. Some gripes - our bedroom door did not seem to lock from the inside and the shower head did not hold on to the holder well so it fell and whacked two of us whilst showering. The host was very polite however and the room served its purpose. The beds were comfortable and clean but we noted some stains on the bedding. It did all feel a bit hostel like - fine for one night on the way to somewhere but probably not for longer.

Although the property was relatively new it just had a rather clinical feel about it. It may be situated near a castle and you can view the castle it is obscured by other buildings and pylons. We were supposed to have a room with a sea view but as the shower had been out of action for a few days we were given an alternative room, which had no real view at all. I feel that the ladies who were managing the property really need to consider how to welcome their guests, as I said it was rather lacking on the homely front.

I’m sorry you feel that our patio room with sea view didn’t give you a clear enough view of the castles if I’d have known that it would of been a problem I would have took out my chain saw and removed every pylon for you. And some guests need to consider how to welcome their hosts
