The property and my room seemed renovated. I liked the unique picture decorations showing different parts of the wilmington area. The heat didn't work in the indoor pool. The complimentary breakfast was great value.

Efficient check in. Expected to have to wait since we arrived early but they allowed us to go right to room. Nice room. Pet friendly but no obnoxious pets or barking. Dog run was clean, safe and equipped. Breakfast was nice. Quiet (but was there during week and off season). Easy access to downtown and the river walk. Definitely will stay again.

Was disappointed that the hot tub is broken they should really put it on the website and the pool they said was also not heated and cold. The room Didn’t look like it had been cleaned in awhile dust was settled in the toilet was out in a room where the jacuzzi tub also wasn’t working. Blow dryer also didn’t work and the bath tub drained water so couldn’t even enjoy that after a very long day of travel.

I was told o couldn’t check in because I’m a local. The front desk denied my daughter and I when we were there to celebrate her 6th birthday and wanting to use the pool. If I pay for a stay that should be enough. At first we left and as my daughter is crying hysterical because she’s been waiting weeks for this day I had to go back in and give it one more try. Then the front desk said, ooh the only way we rent to locals is a $250 deposit….. understandable but WHY DIDNT SHE TELL ME THAT TO BEGIN WITH?! By far the most frustrating hotel experience I have ever had.

Had impossible time trying to change rooms for upgrade. 2 days later got the upgrade to bigger bed and the room had recently “ supposedly “ been exterminated but I ended up killing 3 cockroaches in the night time hours. Manager of property was no help whats so ever. Will not be using Best Western plus again

The front desk people were very friendly and great to work with. My issue was the cleanliness of the room. Upon check in, they make you sign a document committing to not staining furniture, towels, break furniture, leave large amounts of trash etc. They charge your credit card a fee for incidentals. I walked in the room to find the couch like it was in the picture. I wouldn’t have sat on that couch even with a hazmat suit on. That is just completely unacceptable to charge for a room in that condition. As a result, I wiped down every counter and surface in the room (to include bathroom), which wasn’t better. Luckily I had Lysol wipes and spray with me. In hind sight, I should’ve asked for a refund and stayed somewhere else. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and this one was by far the worst in terms of cleanliness. The front desk rep was great to work with to make sure the incidentals fee was credited to my credit card. I explained to her that they should not ask their customers to sign off on things that are already wrong in the room, and to expect people to stay in a room like this is unacceptable.

I booked the hotel so I could use the hot tub and exercise room. the hot tub was downright disgusting. The exercise room was barely usable. Treadmill not plugged in, elliptical made a clunking sound with each rotation.

I liked the distance from the beach (10 minutes), the great breakfast and clean rooms. The check I. And out process felt a little too long because of an issue with the machines, and the hot tub doesn’t really seem clean but I would stay here again because the staff was friendly and the it was safe and convenient.

The air conditioner leaked in our first room. The woman at the front desk was really nice and was able to get us into another room for no additional cost. The second room was bigger but it had an out of order hot tub in it and the room smelled musty, possibly from previous water damage from the out of order hot tub. I was able to get some spray from maintenance to help mask the smell a little bit but still got a headache. Overall it was a place to stay for the night and it wasn’t so bad, but could’ve been better too.

I was a spur of the moment trip and was fortunate to get this property. It was clean and the bed was only a full size bed but comfortable, although I was thinking we were suppose to have a queen size bed.I did not like the smell and seemed to be very humid.

Back to front desk Checked it out, had to assign new room, next floor up, next day, same thing, go to room, key wont work, back to front desk........magnetic key out of order. Me?
