Staying in this popular region is about discovering new things, so why don't you hit the road and tour a few of the other cool population centers dotted around Yichun. Two places in the vicinity of Yichun are Wanzai, 35 miles (56 kilometers) to the northeast, and Xinyu, 50 miles (80 kilometers) to the north.
Organize some transport and head out to Nanchang, a shopping and transport center for the region, situated about 70 miles (113 kilometers) from Yichun. The place offers a wide range of attractions, such as Bayi Park, Bayi Square and August 1 Uprising Museum. Be sure not to head back to Yichun until you've visited Nanchang's Pavilion of Prince Teng and Nanchang University.
Traveling to a place encompasses so much more than simply taking in the sights, it's also about the words, stories and ideas of a place. Your stay in Yichun will become all the more rewarding if you take the time to try some useful words, sayings and salutations in Mandarin. "Nǐ yào bú yào gēn wǒ tiàowǔ" is useful. It means "Would you like todance with me?" "Zhèiwèi xiānsheng huì qīngdān" translates to "This gentleman/lady will pay for everything"
Everything must end sometime, but be rest assured, when you're ready to say "Zàijiàn", you'll be leaving with many special photos and memories to remember your journey.
