From Yongkang, the major city of Hangzhou is approximately 120 miles (193 kilometers) to the north.
It's a missed chance if you limit your tour to the attractions of Yongkang because the surrounding region has been blessed with a wealth of wonderful natural and man-made attractions. Jinhua Architecture Park, is 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the southeast, and Jinhua lies 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the southeast.
About 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the northwest of Yongkang is Jinhua, an important regional city which is home to International Trade City, Jinhua Grand Theatre and Jinhua Municipal People's Government. Meihu Exhibition Centre, Xiuhu Park and Wuzhou Park are just a sample of the many other attractions in Jinhua.
When the sun is shining, why not take the chance to discover Zhejiang's gardens?.
If you spend much of your time working, the perfect holiday often means finding great spots to relax. When it's time to unwind, take your lead from the locals and try cycling or picnicking.
Quite often, the difference between being a respectful traveler and a standard tourist is knowing a smattering of the local language, so why not take the time to learn some useful Mandarin words before you arrive. "Nǐ yào bú yào gēn wǒ tiàowǔ" translates to "Would you like todance with me?" You'll find that knowing "Zhèiwèi xiānsheng huì qīngdān", which means "This gentleman/lady will pay for everything", can get you a long way.
As the sun sets on your adventures, spend what's left of your renminbi on that last souvenir and bid a fond Zàijiàn (farewell) to the friends you've made and the places you've enjoyed.
