It’s ridiculous that there’s only one self check in machine and the reception is in another hotel. The staff in the cafe is only equipped to help with basic check and directs all other operational matters to hotel Montana (where the reception is).
I booked for 2 nights in 2 separate bookings which the machine and the cafe staff are unable to assist with. I then had to go to hotel Montana to explain this situation and the reception assured that there was no issues since I was allocated the same room.
There was obviously an issue with the key card the next day and I was unable to enter my room. The new key card was given to the cafe staff which was unaware of the situation and had to call the reception for clarification.
The check in procedure is extremely messy and badly managed.
Additionally, I paid for a kitchenette, deluxe studio room (the largest / most expensive option) but there was no amenities to use the kitchenette - only a fridge and a coffee machine - no basic kitchen utensils nor spoon/ fork.
Other than the location which is near Zurich HB, there are no pull factors of this hotel as the price is too steep for such a basic room that has no facilities.
